SIDE 390 is a surface-mounted lamp designed to be installed on the wall. It works well in spaces where continuous, uniform light is needed without resorting to complicated solutions. The integrated 15W LED source emits warm light at 3000K, creating a calm atmosphere without being too dim. Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the surface is solid and can stably support almost two kilograms. Fixing must be carried out on a firm anchor point, preferably with appropriate plugs for the type of wall. It is recommended that installation be carried out by an electrician, as the unit connects directly to the mains at 220V-240V. Before starting any work, always disconnect the power supply at the distribution board.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents on the matte black steel surface, as they can damage the finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth to maintain its transparency. Do not handle the luminaire with wet hands or when it is connected to the mains.

Design and use

The SIDE 390 wall light has a square shape with 390 mm sides and 110 mm depth. Those proportions give it a compact and recognisable profile on the wall without taking up space in the room. The matte black steel body has a sober feel, without reflections, allowing the piece to integrate without drawing more attention than necessary.

The opaline glass diffuser covers the LED source and distributes light evenly outward. The 3000K temperature produces a warm tone that does not strain the eyes. It is the kind of light that works well in a bedroom at night, but also in a hallway where constant visibility is needed throughout the day.

In the living room, a lamp of this type can complement the central lighting or act as a secondary light point on a wall where there is a sofa or bookcase. The scale of the wall light, at almost 40 cm per side, is sufficient to fulfil its function without requiring an additional nearby lamp. In spaces with low ceilings, where a hanging lamp has no place, this wall solution is practical and aesthetically balanced.

In the kitchen, the wall light can be installed on the wall next to a work area if overhead lighting is not sufficient. The matte black finish combines well with dark appliances or cabinet fronts in neutral tones. It does not require wood or other warm materials to integrate, although alongside wooden surfaces the contrast is also clean and orderly.

In the bathroom, the luminaire can be placed on a side wall if the space allows, although it is worth verifying that the installation area is outside the splash zone. The glass finish of the diffuser makes maintenance easier in environments with some humidity.

In the hallway or entrance, the wall light functions as an orientation light and as a decorative element at the same time. Its interior design is neutral enough not to break the visual continuity with the rest of the rooms. Against a wall painted in a dark tone, the matte black blends with the background. On a light wall, the wall light stands out as a clean and modern design element.

The contrast between the black body and the opaline diffuser is part of the original concept by Alex & Manel Lluscà. The combination does not seek to be striking, but rather to create a calm point of interest within the interior. It is a modern lamp in the most direct sense: no ornaments, no historical references, no decorative elements to distract. Just the form, the material, and the light.

Questions and answers

Does the SIDE 390 wall light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 15W SMD LED light source is integrated into the lamp and does not need to be purchased separately. It comes ready to connect from the very first moment.

Is the opaline glass diffuser resistant or can it break easily during installation?

Opaline glass is a solid material, but like any glass element it requires careful handling during assembly. It is recommended not to press it or knock it against hard surfaces when placing the wall light on the wall.

Does the matte black finish on the steel body deteriorate over time or with regular cleaning?

The matte black finish on steel is durable if cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The use of abrasive or chemical products can damage the surface, so these should be avoided.
