Overview

The NOVO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those seeking clean, functional lighting without complicating the look of the space. Its matte beige finish gives it a discreet character: it doesn't draw too much attention, but it doesn't go unnoticed either. The front panel that tilts into three positions allows you to direct the light as needed, which is useful when the mounting point doesn't exactly coincide with where you want to illuminate.

It can be installed in both horizontal and vertical positions, giving more freedom when planning the layout on the wall. It works with an integrated 12W LED and a color temperature of 2700K, which produces warm light, close to traditional incandescent light.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products are oriented toward real domestic use, with materials and finishes that hold up well over time.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wiring in the wall is in good condition and that the junction box has the appropriate dimensions for anchoring. Since the lamp can be mounted horizontally or vertically, it is advisable to decide on the orientation before marking the drilling points. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is most advisable to rely on an electrician. Make sure the power supply is cut off throughout the entire installation process.

The steel body with matte beige finish is easy to clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the surface. Do not touch the LED directly or expose it to impacts. Since the light source is integrated, it does not require a bulb replacement, but in case of failure, consult an authorized technical service.

Design and use

The NOVO wall light has an elongated silhouette, 500mm long and just 70mm deep. This makes it particularly suitable for spaces where depth is limited, such as narrow hallways or passageways. In a hallway, placed horizontally on the wall, it provides a uniform light distribution along the length of the path without creating harsh shadows.

The lamp fits well in a double or single bedroom, installed on either side of the headboard in a vertical position. In this case it acts as a reading or ambient lamp, without taking up space on the bedside table. The tilting front panel allows you to angle the light toward the book or toward the ceiling depending on what is needed at any given moment.

In the living room, this wall light can be used to reinforce general lighting or to highlight a specific area, such as a bookshelf or a reading corner. By not relying on a floor outlet, it allows greater freedom in furniture arrangement. The beige finish integrates easily with white walls, light greys, or earthy tones, without generating excessive contrast.

The bathroom is another space where this lamp works well, provided it is installed in areas away from direct water. Placed above the mirror or on the sides, it provides frontal lighting that reduces shadows on the face, something that is appreciated for daily use. In larger bathrooms it can also serve as complementary ambient light.

In kitchens with tall cabinets or work areas poorly lit by ceiling spotlights, the wall-mounted light on the side wall can solve the problem without needing to renovate the ceiling. In the dining room, installed above a sideboard or on the main wall, it adds a layer of light that complements the central lamp without duplicating it.

The matte beige color of the steel body is a detail that does not go unnoticed. It is not pure white nor dark cream, but an intermediate tone that has a certain warmth without feeling overdone. This makes it compatible with Nordic-style interiors, with natural finishes, or with more minimalist approaches. It is a wall light that does not set trends, but neither does it look out of place over time.

The color temperature of 2700K produces light that is perceived as warm and welcoming. It is not the cold light of an office nor the neutral light of many low-cost LEDs. It is designed to create a relaxed atmosphere, suitable for rest or living areas.

Questions and answers

Does the tilting front panel of the NOVO wall light allow you to direct the light in any direction or only in fixed positions?

The front panel has three predefined fixed positions. It is not continuously adjustable, but the three available options cover the most common angles of use, for both direct and semi-direct lighting.

Can this wall light be installed on the ceiling instead of on the wall?

No. This model is specifically designed for wall mounting. The fixing and body design are intended for that orientation, whether in a horizontal or vertical position on the wall surface.

Can the included LED light source be replaced when it burns out?

The lamp incorporates an integrated SMD LED module that is not designed for domestic replacement. In case of failure, it is recommended to contact the technical service to assess repair or replacement options.
