Overview

The MOY lamp by FARO is a wall light designed for the bathroom, although its round shape and bronze finish make it an equally valid option for the living room, dining room, or bedroom. It is a surface-mounted luminaire that can also be installed as a ceiling light, which gives it some flexibility in terms of mounting.

The wall light uses integrated LED technology, so there is no need to purchase bulbs separately. From the very first moment it emits warm 3000K light through the opal glass diffuser, which distributes the illumination evenly and softens contrasts. It is especially comfortable in frequently used spaces, where harsh lighting would be unpleasant.

FARO is a Spanish company with years of experience in interior lighting. Their catalogue combines solid technical criteria with attention to finish and aesthetic detail. The MOY lamp reflects that balance: understated, well-proportioned, and made with materials that stand the test of time.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall or ceiling is in good condition and that the support is sufficient for the weight of the fixture. Disconnect the power before any electrical work. Installation in bathrooms must comply with the safety zones established by the electrical regulations in force in your country. If you have any doubts about the wiring or location, consult an electrician.

To clean the lamp, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or harsh liquids that could damage the bronze finish or the diffuser glass. Do not handle the fixture while it is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The MOY wall light is made with a steel body in a bronze finish, a warm tone that works well both in modern spaces and in interiors with a certain classic or industrial character. The colour is not eye-catching, but it has presence: against a light-coloured wall it stands out subtly, and against darker surfaces it maintains its own visual weight without overwhelming the overall composition.

The opal glass diffuser is one of the elements that most influences how the lamp is perceived when in use. The glass filters the LED source and distributes the light in a way that prevents the formation of bright spots or harsh shadows. This is especially relevant in the bathroom or in hallways, where lighting tends to be more direct and any glare is uncomfortable. The 3000K light has a warm temperature, close to the tone of a traditional bulb, which promotes relaxed and pleasant atmospheres.

The wall light has compact dimensions: 140 mm in diameter and 130 mm in depth. It fits well in small rooms, narrow hallways, or any area where space is limited. At the same time, its circular shape and proportions mean it does not appear to be a minor element: it fulfils a real decorative function without needing to be the centrepiece of the lighting scheme.

In the bathroom, this lamp fits well next to the mirror or in the washbasin area, where sufficient but non-aggressive light is needed. In the living room or dining room it can be used as accent lighting on a wall, complementing other light sources in the space. In the bedroom it works as a bedside reading light or as ambient lighting of moderate intensity, sufficient to create a comfortable environment without visually overloading the space. It is also suitable for hallways, where the reduced scale of the wall light does not obstruct movement and provides continuous light along the way.

The option to install it as a ceiling light extends its usefulness. In spaces with low ceilings or in small rooms where hanging a lamp would be too much, this option allows ceiling lighting without sacrificing design. The bronze finish maintains its presence regardless of whether the mounting is on the wall or ceiling.

In terms of compatibility with other elements, the MOY wall light pairs well with natural materials such as wood in furniture and wall coverings. The bronze tone connects coherently with metal hardware in the same finish, and the opal glass adds a touch of warmth that balances more austere compositions. The overall style of the wall light is contemporary and restrained, making it compatible with different types of interiors without imposing a strongly defined aesthetic.

Questions and answers

Can this wall light be installed on the ceiling as well as on the wall?

Yes. Although it is designed as a wall light, the MOY model can also be installed as a ceiling light. It is a useful option in small spaces or rooms with low ceilings where a pendant luminaire would not be suitable.

Is the LED light source already included in the wall light?

Yes, the lamp includes the integrated SMD-type LED light source. There is no need to purchase or install any additional bulbs. It works from the moment it is connected to the electrical mains.

What colour temperature does the light emitted by this lamp correspond to?

The light has a colour temperature of 3000K, which is a warm tone. It is the type of light associated with relaxed and welcoming atmospheres, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. It is suitable for bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways.
