Overview

LUNE is a wall light from the brand FARO designed for those looking for a functional lamp with a clean appearance. The matte black finish and square shape give it a discreet profile that does not compete with the rest of the space, but integrates naturally. It is a valid option for the living room, bedroom, bathroom or hallway, in any situation where directed light is needed without taking up space on a table or on the floor.

The wall light illuminates effectively thanks to compatibility with a GU10 LED bulb, which is not included but is easy to find. The aluminium and steel structure makes the lamp solid without adding unnecessary weight to the wall. Its compact dimensions, 100 mm high by 80 mm long and 65 mm deep, allow it to be installed in tight spaces without looking bulky.

FARO is a brand with experience in interior lighting. Its products combine careful design with quality materials, made to last and look good over time.

Installation and specifications

For installation, a previously prepared electrical point on the wall is required. As a surface-mounted wall light, it is fixed directly onto the wall surface without the need for recessed boxes. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before connecting the lamp, make sure the power is switched off at the electrical panel. The working voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid.

For cleaning, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the aluminium and steel surface. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish. Do not clean the lamp with the power connected or when the bulb is hot.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light from FARO starts from a simple idea: a wall lamp that does its job without drawing too much attention. The square shape and uniform black finish give it a tidy appearance, with no superfluous details. It is not a decorative piece in the conventional sense, although its presence on the wall provides a clear visual line that fits well in modern or minimalist-style interiors.

The body is made from aluminium and steel, two materials that complement each other well in this type of wall light. The aluminium provides lightness and corrosion resistance, while the steel adds solidity to the structure. The result is a lamp that weighs just 200 grams and stays firmly on the wall without requiring complex anchoring.

In the living room, this wall light works well as a secondary light source, next to a sofa or on a wall that needs some illumination without resorting to a floor lamp. In the bedroom, placed at bedside height, it comfortably replaces a table lamp and leaves the surface free. In the bathroom, its black finish holds up well in environments with some ambient humidity, and its square design fits with current styles that combine black and white.

In the kitchen and dining room, this type of wall light can be used to reinforce specific areas that fall outside the reach of the main light. In the kitchen, for example, above a work area. In the dining room, on a side wall to create a more defined atmosphere during meals. In hallways, where space is limited and a conventional ceiling lamp can be excessive, a wall light like LUNE resolves the lighting without encroaching on the passageway.

The GU10 LED bulb that this wall light requires is one of the most widely available on the market. It allows you to choose between different colour temperatures depending on the atmosphere you want to achieve in each room. A warmer light for the bedroom or living room, a more neutral or cool one for the kitchen or bathroom. That choice is left to the user, which gives the product a certain flexibility.

The square design of the LUNE also makes it easy to integrate with other elements in the room. It pairs well with picture frames, straight-lined shelving or angular-profile furniture. In an environment with light wood or exposed concrete, the black of the wall light creates a clean contrast. The light it emits is distributed in a functional way, without unnecessary effects, aimed at covering a specific area of the wall or room.

In installations where several wall lights are used in the same room, the LUNE allows an orderly composition to be created thanks to its defined geometric shape. Two or three units aligned in a hallway or on the living room wall maintain visual coherence without requiring additional elements.

Questions and answers

Is it necessary to purchase the GU10 LED bulb separately?

Yes. The LUNE wall light does not include a bulb. It requires a GU10 LED type bulb with a maximum power of 8 W. This format is standard and is available in most lighting shops and large retail stores.

What type of fixing does this wall light use and how is it mounted on the wall?

The LUNE is fixed directly onto the wall surface using anchors. It does not require a recessed box, but it is necessary to have an accessible electrical point at the installation location. It is recommended that mounting be carried out by a professional.

Is the black aluminium and steel finish resistant in areas with humidity, such as the bathroom?

The aluminium and steel body with a black finish holds up well in environments with typical ambient humidity, such as the bathroom. For conditions involving greater exposure to water, it is advisable to consult the IP protection specifications before installation.
