Overview

The ETERNA wall light by FARO is a surface-mounted luminaire designed for interior installations where classic style matters as much as functionality. With a black shade and chrome finish on the steel body, this wall light finds its natural place in hotels, restaurants and commercial spaces, but also fits effortlessly in a well-thought-out home room.

The ETERNA collection was created by Lucid with a clear criterion: to offer lighting that does not need to draw attention in order to stand out. The lamp has presence, but does not interrupt. It is the kind of wall light that completes a space without imposing itself on it.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its catalogue combines functionality and design, with collections conceived for both domestic use and larger-scale projects.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an existing light point on the wall, with wiring prepared for a surface-mounted luminaire. It is fixed directly to the wall, with no additional structures. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, particularly to verify that the wiring is compatible with the indicated voltage. Before any intervention, always cut the power supply at the main distribution board.

To keep the chrome finish in good condition, clean the steel body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the surface. The black shade can accumulate dust over time; remove it with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Do not handle the lamp or the bulb while the wall light is on or immediately after switching it off.

Design and use

The ETERNA wall light has a well-resolved proportion: 470 mm in height with just 70 mm in length and 200 mm in depth. This gives it a clear vertical presence on the wall without taking up too much space in the room. It is a lamp that is noticed, but does not intrude.

The body is made of steel with a chrome finish. The chrome provides a clean, discreet reflection that works well with both light walls and darker tones. The black shade contrasts with that metallic finish and gives the wall light a defined character, without resorting to complicated shapes. It is a balance between the modern and the classic that few lamps achieve effortlessly.

This wall light is compatible with an E27 LED bulb, allowing you to choose the colour temperature according to the atmosphere you wish to create. Warm light in a bedroom creates a restful atmosphere. The same lamp with a more neutral-toned bulb works well in a hallway or a work area. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the one that best suits your space from the outset.

In the living room, a pair of ETERNA wall lights on either side of a sofa or console table create balanced lighting that avoids harsh shadows. In the dining room, mounted on a side wall, it complements the central light without competing with it. In the bedroom, positioned at bedside table height, it works as a reading light without taking up surface space.

The bathroom is another space where this wall light fits well. The chrome finish holds up well in environments with some ambient humidity, and the lamp's aesthetic suits both chrome fittings and mirrors with metal frames. In hallways, where light is often a secondary element, this wall light adds character without demanding too much prominence.

The ETERNA collection is also designed for hospitality and commercial projects, but that does not mean it is exclusive to those settings. On the contrary, its simple, well-proportioned design makes it equally suitable for a kitchen with a defined style, where wall lighting complements the functional lighting beneath the cabinets. In the home dining room, where atmosphere matters as much as functionality, this type of wall light adds a layer of warmth that ceiling luminaires cannot always provide.

The weight of 1.67 kg is manageable for most conventional walls, with no need for special anchors beyond those required by any standard installation. Compatibility with voltages between 100 V and 240 V makes it suitable for use in different countries without modification.

In terms of combinations, the lamp integrates well with straight-lined furniture, materials such as marble or polished concrete, and other metallic elements in the space. Its simple character allows it to coexist with different styles without creating visual dissonance.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The wall light is compatible with an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W, and you can choose the colour temperature you prefer according to the atmosphere of the space where you intend to install it.

How far does the wall light protrude from the wall and what is its height?

The depth is 200 mm, which is the distance the wall light extends from the wall into the room. The total height is 470 mm, giving it a notable vertical presence without being bulky.

Does the 100 V–240 V voltage mean I can use it outside Spain without an adapter?

Yes. The compatible voltage range covers both the standard European voltage and that of other countries, so the wall light operates correctly on different electrical networks without the need for a transformer or voltage adapter.
