Overview

The ETERNA wall light by FARO is a surface-mounted lamp designed for indoor environments where design matters as much as function. Its clean, classic profile makes it a suitable option for rooms where visual order and well-positioned light are desired. The right-facing reader allows light to be concentrated on a specific point, which is practical in bedrooms next to the bed or in reading areas within the living room.

The ETERNA collection was developed by Lucid with hospitality and restaurant projects in mind, although its simple aesthetic fits effortlessly into private homes. The black shade provides contrast against the chrome finish of the body without appearing overdone. FARO is a brand with consolidated experience in interior lighting, with a presence in residential and commercial projects across various European markets.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, an adequate power outlet and access to the room's electrical wiring are required. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before beginning assembly, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The wall light is fixed directly onto the wall surface using the included anchors or those appropriate for the type of wall where it will be installed.

To clean the chrome surface, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. The black shade can be cleaned in the same way, without applying excessive pressure. Do not handle the lamp while the power is on. Replace the bulb only when the wall light is switched off and the light source has cooled completely.

Design and use

The ETERNA wall light has a steel body with a chrome finish that gives it a defined presence without taking up too much visual space. The structure is compact, with 470 mm in height and 200 mm in depth, allowing it to be installed on walls with limited space without appearing disproportionate. The integrated right-facing reader rotates to direct light as needed, which is appreciated in spaces used on a daily basis.

In the bedroom, this type of lamp advantageously replaces a bedside table with a table lamp. Being fixed to the wall, it frees up surface space and keeps things tidy. The light is positioned exactly where it is needed, adjustable towards a book or towards the centre of the room, depending on the moment. In a double room, two symmetrical units on each side of the bed create a balanced composition.

The living room is also a space where this wall light works well. Placed above a sofa or next to a reading armchair, it provides supplementary light without relying on a floor lamp that takes up space on the floor. In living rooms with little free floor space, that makes a difference. The chrome finish works well alongside materials such as lacquered metal, glass, or matte surfaces in neutral tones.

In the dining room, a wall light can complement the central lighting without replacing it. If the table is close to a wall, the ETERNA can add a lateral light point that softens shadows in the room. In dining rooms with modern décor, the chrome and black shade fit in without forcing the overall composition.

Hallways are another context where this model makes sense. In long hallways or those with little natural light, installing one or several wall lights at regular intervals distributes illumination evenly. The lamp's discreet silhouette does not interfere with movement or with other decorative elements on the wall.

The bathroom is a space where the direction of light is especially important. A wall light next to the bathroom mirror, at the correct height, avoids the shadows created by ceiling spotlights. For use in bathrooms, verify that the chosen location complies with the electrical safety zones established by current regulations. As for access hallways to bathrooms, this wall light also functions as a discreet light guide.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb allows the colour temperature to be chosen according to the desired atmosphere. Warm light makes the wall light a cosier element; neutral light makes it more functional for specific tasks. The maximum power of 15 W is sufficient to cover the localised lighting function that this type of wall light is designed to provide.

Questions and answers

Does the ETERNA wall light include the E27 LED bulb at the time of purchase?

No, the light source is not included. It is necessary to purchase separately a bulb with an E27 base of LED type, with a maximum power of 15 W.

Can the wall light reader be directed to the left, or does it only work to the right?

This model is designed with the reader facing to the right. If you need a left-facing orientation, check whether a mirrored version is available in the ETERNA collection by FARO.

Is the chrome steel body of the wall light suitable for installation in a bathroom?

The wall light may be considered for use in bathrooms, but it is essential to verify that the installation area complies with the safety distances from water sources required by electrical regulations. No IP protection rating is specified for this model, so it is recommended to consult a qualified installer before proceeding.
