Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall can support the weight of the product — nearly 5.6 kg is a considerable figure for a surface-mounted lamp. For plasterboard or drywall, it is recommended to use expansion plugs or appropriate anchors. Installation should be carried out by a person with basic electrical knowledge or a certified electrician. Always disconnect the power before working with the wiring.

The plaster body requires careful handling: do not use abrasive products or wet cloths with force. For cleaning, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid direct impacts on the surface, as plaster can chip. Do not cover the lamp with materials that impede heat dissipation.

Design and use

The ELSA LED wall light has a square shape of 150 × 150 mm and only 50 mm in depth, meaning it does not protrude too much from the wall. It is a discreet lamp that does not occupy visual space aggressively. This makes it useful in hallways where passage is narrow, or in any room where the wall already has other decorative elements and no extra visual prominence is wanted for the lighting.

The body is made of plaster, a material with a good ability to blend in with similar wall coverings and finishes. Unlike metal or plastic lamps, plaster offers a texture that can harmonize well with classic, Mediterranean-style interiors, or even with more modern proposals that combine natural materials. The matte white finish avoids unnecessary glare and allows the lamp to blend in with walls painted in neutral tones.

The PC diffuser with an opal finish serves a specific purpose: distributing the light without the emission point being directly visible. This creates a soft visual effect around the wall light, with no glare zones. In a hallway, for example, this effect illuminates the wall in an enveloping way, without the light source being unpleasant to the eye.

The color temperature of 3000K corresponds to warm light. It is the type of light perceived as welcoming and works well in a bedroom, living room, or any space where a relaxed atmosphere is desired. It is not the option for a kitchen where a lot of clarity is needed for work, but in a hallway passage area or on a dining room wall it produces very good results.

The wall light can be placed at different heights depending on the desired effect. At eye level it creates a light point that marks the path of the hallway. Higher up, near the ceiling, it illuminates downward and creates shadows that give depth to the wall. In a bathroom, placed on the sides of the mirror, it provides more balanced lateral lighting than a wall light placed directly above.

In the living room or dining room, this type of wall lamp works well as supporting light, complementing a main light source. It is not designed to illuminate an entire room on its own, but in combination with other lamps it creates layers of light that make the space more interesting and comfortable.

The fact that the lamp is surface-mounted — and not recessed — makes installation easier in renovations where no construction work is desired. It is fixed directly to the wall and connected to the existing wiring, with no need to channel the wall or carry out complex work.

Questions and answers

Can the ELSA LED wall light be installed on a drywall or laminated plasterboard partition?

Yes, but it is important to use anchors specifically designed for drywall, as the product weighs nearly 5.6 kg. Standard plugs are not sufficient on this type of surface. It is recommended to locate the structural studs or use butterfly anchors with the appropriate load rating.

Is the color temperature of 3000K suitable for a bathroom?

It depends on the use. For a bathroom where warm, relaxing light is desired, 3000K is a comfortable option. If a cooler, sharper light is needed for tasks such as shaving or applying makeup, this lamp may not be sufficient as the sole light source, but it works well as a complement.

Does the plaster body have any special treatment, or is it standard plaster with no protective finish?

The body is made of plaster with a matte white finish, without any additional waterproof treatment. For this reason, it is not recommended to install this wall light in areas where it may receive direct water splashes, such as above an unprotected washbasin. In bathrooms, it is better to place it in the dry zone.
