Overview

DOME is a wall light designed for interiors where lighting is part of the atmosphere, not just of functionality. It fits well in the living room, bedroom, hallway or bathroom: any space where warm, controlled light is wanted without distracting elements. The diffuser shade softens the beam and prevents direct glare, making the lamp comfortable both in rest areas and in everyday-use corners.

The satin black aluminium body gives the wall light a discreet but defined presence. It does not compete with the rest of the space: it complements it. The dimmable function allows the intensity to be adjusted according to the time of day or the use of the room, something that is especially appreciated in bedrooms or dining rooms where the light changes depending on the activity.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting for the home and the contract sector. Its products combine careful manufacturing with a design approach that does not follow passing trends.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. The wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the anchors appropriate for the surface type. Before starting, check that the wall has a recessed box or cable outlet at the installation point. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Make sure to cut the power before handling the wiring. The E27 LED lamp is not included and must be purchased separately; choose a bulb compatible with the dimmable function if you want to take advantage of that feature. The universal voltage (100V–240V) allows installation without adapters in different countries.

Use and care. Clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the satin black finish. Do not touch the bulb directly with your hands when handling it. Periodically check that the wall light is securely fixed to the wall and that the cables show no signs of wear.

Design and use

The DOME wall light starts from a simple idea: clean geometric shapes that need no ornamentation to have character. The dome that gives the model its name covers the light source and directs the illumination gently thanks to the integrated diffuser shade. The result is a light that fills the space without creating harsh contrasts, which is especially useful in small rooms or in areas where visual comfort matters.

The satin black aluminium body is durable and easy to maintain. The satin finish reduces the reflections typical of metal and gives it a matte appearance that works well with neutral surfaces, both on white walls and on darker cladding. This type of finish does not show fingerprints or fine dust as much as a glossy finish, which simplifies day-to-day maintenance.

In the living room, the wall light can work as ambient light next to a sofa or on one side of the television, creating a soft focal point without the need for floor lamps that take up space. In the dining room, installed at mid-height, it provides warm lighting that complements the central light without replacing it. If the dining room has low ceilings or a tight space, this wall solution frees up floor space and maintains an intimate atmosphere.

In the bedroom, the wall light is a clear improvement over the bedside lamp: being fixed, it takes up no surface area and the cable remains hidden. The dimmable function is especially useful here, as it allows the intensity to be lowered at night without getting up. A dimmable lamp in the bedroom changes the way the space is used before sleeping.

In the bathroom, the installation must take into account the electrical safety regulations applicable to wet areas. Consult a professional if you have any doubts about the appropriate location within the bathroom. Once installed in the correct position, the wall light works well as a supporting light above the mirror or in the washbasin area.

In hallways, where natural light is usually scarce, this model fulfils its function well without being excessive. Hallways benefit from continuous, uniform lighting, and the DOME diffuser contributes to that effect without creating overly marked light points.

Compatibility with E27 LED bulbs makes it versatile: you can choose the colour temperature that best suits each room. A warmer light for the bedroom or living room; a more neutral light for the kitchen or bathroom. In the kitchen, installed above a work area, it can serve as supporting light without interfering with the main ceiling lighting.

Faro Lab's design aims to reinterpret classic references from a contemporary perspective, without going to extreme minimalism or decorative overload. The DOME fits in modern interiors, in spaces with natural materials such as wood, or in more industrial environments where black is already present in other elements. Its size — around 25 cm in its three main dimensions — makes it proportionate for standard walls without appearing visually heavy.

Questions and answers

Can the E27 bulb compatible with the dimmable function be used directly without any additional accessories?

Yes, as long as the E27 LED bulb you purchase is of the dimmable type. Not all LED bulbs are, so check this feature on the packaging before buying it. The wall light accepts up to 15W of maximum power.

Can the satin black finish of the aluminium body deteriorate due to bathroom humidity?

Aluminium is a corrosion-resistant material. Even so, for bathroom installations it is advisable to verify that the specific location complies with the electrical safety regulations for wet areas. If in any doubt, consult an electrician before proceeding.

Does the universal voltage (100V–240V) allow this wall light to be installed without modifications in any country in Europe?

Yes. The voltage range covers both 110V and 220–240V networks, so no adapter or additional transformer is needed for use in Europe or in most American countries.
