Overview

CRONOS is a wall light designed for spaces where light needs to be precise and hassle-free. It works as a reading lamp: it is placed next to the bed, on the headboard, or in any corner where someone needs focused light to read, work, or simply be comfortable. Its mechanism is simple — raise the arm and the lamp turns on, lower it and it turns off. No buttons, no remotes, no extra steps.

The finish is matte white, discreet, drawing no attention to itself but rather to the space. A wall light like this fits well in a modern bedroom, a guest room, or any environment that does not need more visual noise.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Their products are made with the real use of people in mind — not just appearance.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is advisable to check the condition of the wall before fixing the wall light. It is a surface-mounted luminaire that is fixed directly to the wall, with no need for recessing or major work. It is recommended to leave the electrical installation in the hands of a professional, especially if the power outlet needs to be prepared at the exact point. Before connecting, verify that the mains supply is 220V-240V.

To clean the lamp, simply use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the surface. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Do not handle the wall light with wet hands or when it is connected to the mains. The included LED does not require routine replacement, but if any electrical maintenance is necessary, disconnect from the mains first.

Design and use

The CRONOS wall light has a compact construction. The body is made of steel and aluminium — materials that provide rigidity without adding unnecessary weight. Weighing just 0.41 kg, it is easy to handle during installation and does not require any special wall anchoring. Its dimensions are small: 121 mm high, 80 mm deep and 30 mm long, allowing it to be placed even where space is limited.

The colour temperature is 2700K, which corresponds to warm light. This type of light is pleasant for moments of rest — it does not strain the eyes and creates a calm atmosphere. In a bedroom, that makes a difference: having a cold, active light above the bed is not the same as having a soft light that accompanies reading without interfering with sleep.

The buttonless operation is one of the aspects most appreciated in day-to-day use. Lifting the arm of the wall light to turn it on is a natural, almost automatic gesture. There is no need to search for a switch in the dark or remember how it works. That simplicity is especially useful in the bedroom, where one does not want to think too much before going to sleep.

As a wall lamp, the CRONOS can be installed in various settings. The bedroom is where it makes the most sense, flanking the headboard of the bed. But it also works well in hallways, where a discreet light point is needed without taking up space. In a well-planned bathroom, a wall light of this type next to the mirror can provide practical and more balanced lighting than overhead light. In the kitchen or dining room, a wall light of this style can complement other light sources and add a different plane of illumination.

The matte white design is, by definition, neutral. It does not compete with other decorative elements. In a modern-style living room, in a room with light wood furniture, or in a bathroom with white finishes, the CRONOS wall light is simply there, doing its job. That discretion is, in many cases, exactly what is needed. A lamp that does not distract is a lamp that works well.

In small spaces, such as a narrow bathroom or a bedroom with little margin between the bed and the wall, the compactness of the CRONOS is a real advantage. It does not protrude, does not interfere with movement, and provides light where it is needed. In long or narrow hallways, several wall lights of this type aligned create uniform lighting without visually saturating the space.

The included LED light source consumes only 4W. For the typical use of a reading wall light, that power is sufficient. A room where the main lamp already provides general light does not need a high-power reader — it needs precision, and that is what the CRONOS offers.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light turn on with an external switch or does it have its own mechanism?

The CRONOS wall light turns on by raising the reading arm, with no need to press any button. When lowered, it turns off. No additional switch is required for that control.

Is the LED included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The LED light source is included. It is not necessary to purchase it separately or look for compatibility — the wall light is ready to install and use from the very first moment.

What colour temperature does this lamp emit and for which environments is it most suitable?

The colour temperature is 2700K, which corresponds to warm light. It is a tone suitable for rest spaces such as the bedroom or living room, where a relaxed atmosphere free from glare is desired.
