Overview

CRONOS is a wall light designed for reading, working or resting with directed and comfortable light. It mounts directly on the wall, next to the bed, at the desk or in any corner where concentrated lighting is needed. The light works without buttons: simply raise the reader arm to turn it on. It is a practical solution for the bedroom, but also fits well in the living room, hallway or any room where you want to avoid turning on the general lighting.

The matte black body gives it a clean and discreet appearance. It does not draw excessive attention, but it does not go unnoticed either. The lamp adapts effortlessly to modern, Nordic or minimalist interiors, and coexists well with other elements in the space without disrupting the overall look.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. It develops products that combine functionality with careful design, intended for everyday home use.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to have a nearby power outlet or to plan for recessed wiring before mounting. The fixture is attached directly to the wall using anchors appropriate for the type of surface. If the wall is made of drywall or hollow material, special plugs for that support should be used. If in doubt about the electrical connection, it is preferable to consult an electrician.

To clean the light, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Do not use abrasive products or liquids that could damage the matte black finish. Disconnect the lamp from the power supply before cleaning it. Do not touch the light source directly with your fingers.

Design and use

CRONOS is a reading lamp designed to be mounted on the wall, freeing up space on the bedside table, desk or any surface where a table lamp is usually placed. The light has an articulated arm that turns on when lifted, with no need to look for a switch. This makes it especially convenient at night, in the bedroom, when you want to turn on the light without getting up completely.

The body of the lamp is made of steel and aluminium, materials that provide solidity without adding unnecessary weight. Weighing just 0.4 kg, the light does not require a complicated mounting. The matte black finish covers the entire structure uniformly, with no shine that would clash in warm-light environments. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a gentle light, close to that of traditional incandescent bulbs, which does not tire the eyes and creates a calm atmosphere in the bedroom or living room.

The design of CRONOS is simple and geometric. It has no unnecessary ornamentation or decorative elements that might look out of place over time. This allows the lamp to coexist well with furniture of different styles: from modern interiors with straight lines to warmer spaces with wood or natural textiles. In a room with dark tones, the matte black of the light integrates naturally. In a lighter space, it acts as a clean and controlled point of contrast.

In the bedroom, this wall light is a clear improvement over a floor lamp or bedside lamp. It frees up surface space, reduces visual clutter and allows the light to be directed exactly where it is needed, without disturbing the person sleeping next to you. In the living room, it can be installed next to a reading armchair to provide directed light without depending on the general lighting. In narrow hallways, where a floor lamp has no place, the wall light provides functional light without taking up floor space.

It also works well in the bathroom, as long as it is installed in an area away from the shower or bathtub. In kitchens with reading or writing areas, it can be placed on a side wall to illuminate that specific point without interfering with the ceiling lighting. In transit hallways, it serves the function of providing orientation without the need to turn on more powerful lights.

The included LED light source consumes only 4W, meaning it can be left on for hours without significant energy expenditure. The high-power LED concentrates light in the right direction for comfortable reading or working. It does not require frequent replacement, reducing maintenance to virtually nothing. The standard 220V-240V mains connection makes it compatible with any typical domestic installation in Spain and Europe.

Overall, CRONOS is a lamp that addresses a specific need: directed light at the exact point, turned on and off intuitively, without complicating the space or the installation.

Questions and answers

How is the CRONOS reader turned on and off?

The CRONOS light has no button switch. The reader is activated by raising it and turned off by lowering it back to the resting position. No additional action is required.

What type of light source does it include and does it need to be replaced?

The lamp incorporates an integrated 4W high-power LED. This type of light source has a long service life and, under normal domestic use conditions, does not require regular replacement.

Is the 2700K colour temperature suitable for reading before sleep?

Yes. 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a classic incandescent bulb. It is a tone that is not overly stimulating and is comfortable for reading in the bedroom or in restful environments.
