Overview

CONFETTI is a lamp from the collection designed by Nutcreatives for FARO, intended for those who want to illuminate their space with something that also has visual character. It works as a wall sconce and fits well in a living room, bedroom, hallway, or bathroom. Its 30 cm circular shade occupies the space cleanly, without any distracting elements.

What makes this lamp different is where its shade comes from: it is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, and it is produced in Valencia. This is not a minor detail — it means the material has a history before it reaches your wall, and that the manufacturing process is local and controlled. The bulb is visible by design, giving it an honest and straightforward look, hiding nothing.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine functionality with aesthetic judgement, and CONFETTI is a good example of that approach to design.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall sconce, first locate the anchor points on the surface and make sure the wall can support the weight of the product. Before starting any electrical work, cut the power from the main panel. The wiring must be connected following the manufacturer's instructions and, if you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to hire an electrician. Once the sconce is fixed, check that it is secure and level before turning it on.

To clean the shade, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could affect the finish of the recycled plastic. The matte black aluminium body can be cleaned in the same way. Do not touch the bulb with unprotected hands when it is on or has just been turned off. Periodically check that the anchors remain in good condition.

Design and use

The CONFETTI lamp from FARO has a clear presence on the wall. Its circular shade, 30 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height, creates a simple shape that does not compete with the rest of the space, but does not go unnoticed either. The body is made of aluminium with a matte black finish, a material that stands the test of time well and adds a modern touch without feeling cold.

The shade is the central element of this luminaire. It is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, a material that results in a surface with a certain texture and character of its own. Depending on the bulb chosen, the light it projects can be warmer or more neutral. Since the bulb is visible by design, it is worth choosing one that is also visually interesting — a filament LED, for example, adds to the overall effect.

This sconce works well in rooms where a directed or ambient light point is desired without installing a ceiling lamp. In a bedroom, placed at bedside table height, it comfortably replaces a table lamp and leaves the surface free. In a living room, it can be used to create differentiated lighting zones: a sconce on each side of a sofa, or a single one marking a reading corner. In hallways, where space is often narrow, a wall lamp like this is a practical solution that takes up no floor space and does not interfere with movement.

In a bathroom, as long as the installation complies with the safety zones required by current electrical regulations, this sconce can provide functional light near the mirror or above a washbasin area. Its clean shape and matte black finish suit modern-style bathrooms, where materials and forms are deliberately simple.

The dining room is also a space where this type of sconce can make a great deal of sense. Combined with other light sources, it helps create a more enveloping atmosphere than a single central lamp. In a kitchen with an integrated living area, it can visually mark the transition between the two spaces.

CONFETTI also allows you to create wall compositions using several units. Being a surface sconce, they can be distributed at different heights or in a horizontal line to generate a decorative effect of their own. The collection is also available as a ceiling flush mount, which makes it possible to combine both formats in the same room if you want to cover both wall and ceiling with the same line.

The design by Nutcreatives for this collection starts from a specific idea: that the shade should be the element that takes centre stage, and that the visible bulb should be part of the aesthetic proposition, not something to hide. This gives the lamp an internal coherence that is noticeable once installed. There are no added ornaments, no superfluous elements. Just the shape, the material and the light.

Questions and answers

Is the shade of the CONFETTI lamp translucent or opaque?

The shade is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, which gives it a particular texture and appearance. Depending on the bulb installed, the light may diffuse through the material or be projected primarily from the opening where the bulb is visible. The final effect depends in part on the light source chosen.

Does this wall sconce include the E27 LED bulb?

No, the bulb is not included. The sconce is compatible with E27 LED base bulbs, with a maximum power of 15 W. It is advisable to choose a bulb with a refined design as well, since it is visible by construction.

Can this sconce be installed in a bathroom?

It can be considered for use in bathrooms, provided that the safety zones established by current electrical regulations for wet areas are respected. Before installing it in that environment, consult an electrician to confirm that the chosen location is suitable.
