Overview

BIANCA is a wall light designed for interior lighting, created by Alex&Manel Lluscà. Its classic shape and chrome finish make this lamp fit effortlessly into different environments: from a bathroom to a bedroom or hallway. The aluminium body and opal glass diffuser give it a refined look, without excess.

Thanks to its IP44 rating, this lamp is suitable for humid spaces, such as the bathroom. It can be placed next to the mirror to achieve direct, uniform light on the face, without uncomfortable shadows. The wall light works with a G9 LED bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the colour temperature that best suits your intended use.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine careful design with practical home solutions, and BIANCA is a good example of that philosophy.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an existing electrical connection is required in the wall where the wall light is to be placed. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire with direct wall fixing, no building work is required, but it is advisable to have the connection made by an electrician if you have no prior experience. Check that your home's electrical system is compatible with the indicated voltage before proceeding with installation.

To clean the chrome aluminium body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The opal glass diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Before any cleaning, make sure the lamp is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The BIANCA wall light has a design that does not seek to attract attention in an exaggerated way, but rather to integrate easily into the space. The combination of chrome aluminium and opal glass gives it a clean and elegant look, close to the classic without feeling outdated. It is a lamp that works well both in recently renovated interiors and in rooms with a more established decoration.

The opal glass diffuser distributes light gently, without creating spots of intense brightness or dark areas. This is especially useful in the bathroom, where uniform lighting next to the mirror makes tasks such as applying make-up or shaving easier. Placed on either side of the mirror, this wall light provides light that falls naturally on the face.

In the bedroom, BIANCA can be used as a bedside wall light. Its compact size, 110 mm high and 123 mm long, means it does not take up too much visual or physical space. The light it emits is soft thanks to the opal glass, making it suitable for reading moments or for creating a calm atmosphere before sleep. The chrome finish adds a small decorative detail without overloading the environment.

In hallways, this type of wall lamp provides targeted lighting that guides the way without the need to install a ceiling luminaire. Narrow hallways particularly benefit from wall lights, as they do not reduce the visual height of the space. BIANCA, with its restrained profile, adapts well to these spaces.

It can also have its place in the living room or dining room, especially if you want to complement general lighting with more specific light points. In a living room with indirect lighting, a wall light like this can add warmth without competing with other light sources. In the dining room, placed on a side wall, it can help create a more intimate atmosphere during dinners.

The kitchen is another space where this wall light can be useful, especially if there are work areas that need more localised lighting. Although it is not the most common choice for a kitchen, its IP44 rating makes it suitable for environments with some steam or humidity, which broadens its possible uses.

The design by Alex&Manel Lluscà combines functionality with a style that does not go out of fashion quickly. BIANCA is not a striking lamp, but a discreet piece that does its job well and fits into different contexts without looking out of place. The chrome finish gives it a touch of quality that is noticeable when seen up close.

Compatibility with a G9 LED bulb allows you to choose between different colour temperatures depending on the use. A warmer light is suitable for the bedroom or living room, while a more neutral light may be a better option for the bathroom or kitchen. This flexibility is a practical advantage for those who want to adapt the lighting to each space.

Questions and answers

Is the BIANCA wall light suitable for installation inside the shower or near direct water sources?

No. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, but not against direct contact with water. It is suitable for installation in the bathroom, next to the mirror or in areas away from the shower or bathtub, but not inside them.

What type of bulb does this wall light require and what is the maximum permitted wattage?

The wall light uses a G9 base bulb, which is not included. The maximum permitted power is 6 W. It is recommended to use a G9 LED bulb to make better use of energy consumption.

Does the chrome aluminium body of BIANCA require any special care to maintain its finish?

The chrome finish is resistant to normal use, but can be scratched by abrasive products. To clean it, simply use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid bleaches, solvents or scouring pads that could damage the surface.
