Overview

The VESPER lamp by FARO is a table lamp designed for those who want to improve the lighting in a room without any complications. It works well on a bedside table, on top of a desk, or in any corner of the living room where a direct and stable light source is needed.

What sets this lamp apart is its construction in two bodies: one solid and one open, playing with the contrast between filled and empty space. The result is a form that does not weigh visually, yet at the same time gives presence to the space. The beige textile shade diffuses light softly, without creating harsh shadows.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine aesthetic judgment with durable materials and are designed for different home environments.

Installation and specifications

No tools or anchors are needed to place this table lamp. Simply rest it on a stable surface, such as a side table, dresser, or desk, and plug it into the power outlet. Before installing the bulb, make sure the lamp is unplugged. Use an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W, which is not included in the package.

To clean the steel body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. The textile diffuser can be cleaned with a soft brush or a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive products or liquids on the shade. Do not touch the bulb while it is on or immediately after turning the lamp off.

Design and use

The VESPER series by FARO starts from a simple idea: reducing the lamp to its essentials without losing character. Two bodies that complement each other, one closed and one lighter, create a silhouette that integrates well into modern spaces without dominating them. You don't need an interior designer to find it a place: it fits in bedrooms, living rooms, studies, and also in dining rooms where a more intimate ambient light is desired.

The steel body in a brown finish adds solidity without feeling visually heavy. It is a tone that pairs well with natural woods, earth-colored fabrics, and ceramic surfaces, whether on walls or in décor. If you have a bedside table with dark wood details, this lamp fits in effortlessly. The same applies if you place it on a desk with neutral finishes.

The beige textile shade is one of the details most noticeable in everyday use. The textile filters light evenly, without bright spots, making the atmosphere more comfortable to the eye. At night, when the rest of the lights are off, this lamp creates a warm light zone that is not intrusive. It is the kind of lighting you appreciate when reading before bed or when you want to lower the intensity of the room without turning the light off entirely.

Its dimensions — 600 mm in height, 400 mm in length, and 200 mm in depth — make it suitable for surfaces with some space. It is not a small lamp, but it does not take up too much room either. On a wide bedside table or a work desk, it looks proportionate. In a dining room, placed on a sideboard or console, it can work as a secondary light point alongside the main lighting.

The E27 LED system allows you to choose bulbs of different color temperatures, giving some control over the atmosphere you want to achieve. A warm-light bulb accentuates the brown and beige tones of the lamp and gives the space a cozier look. A neutral-light bulb, on the other hand, is more practical if the lamp is used on a desk for working or reading.

The brown finish on the steel is not flashy, but it does not go unnoticed either. Some people look for precisely that middle ground: a lamp that adds without imposing. Along those lines, VESPER works well both in interiors with a more defined style and in spaces that are still taking shape during a renovation or furniture update.

The weight of 2.52 kg gives it stability on the surface without needing to be fixed in place. It does not move easily, which is useful on bedside tables or desks where there is frequent movement. The steel base contributes to that firmness.

Questions and answers

Does this table lamp require a specific type of bulb, or does any E27 work?

It accepts any bulb with an E27 base, as long as it does not exceed 15 W. It is recommended to use an LED bulb, which is more efficient and generates less heat inside the textile diffuser.

Does the beige textile diffuser significantly affect the amount of light the lamp emits?

The textile filters part of the light and distributes it in a diffuse manner, which reduces the sensation of direct glare. It is suitable for ambient or reading light, but not for intense technical lighting.

Does the brown steel body have any kind of surface treatment to protect the finish?

The steel finish is applied at the factory and is resistant to normal indoor use. It holds up well with regular cleaning using a dry cloth, avoiding products that could scratch or dissolve the coating.
