Overview

The STUDIO table lamp by FARO is a piece designed for those looking for something specific: a table light that doesn't look like a mass-produced object, but has its own character. Its shape is inspired by the lines of the 1950s, yet fits effortlessly into contemporary interiors. The detail that makes it recognizable is the tree branch-shaped stem, an element that turns a functional support into part of the design.

It is a lamp for a bedside table, desk, living room, or any corner where direct light is needed without installing anything on the wall or ceiling. It works equally well in a bedroom, dining room, or on a work table. Its matte black color makes it compatible with many styles, from more sober interiors to spaces with vintage or industrial touches.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. It designs and manufactures luminaires for indoor and outdoor use, with attention to detail and proven quality materials.

Installation and specifications

This table lamp requires no fixed installation. It is placed directly on any flat surface and plugged into a standard power outlet. No tools or drilling required. Upon receiving the product, verify that the E14 LED bulb is not included in the packaging, as it must be purchased separately. Check the cable and plug before first use. Make sure the available mains voltage is within the indicated range: 100V–240V.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. Do not submerge any part in water or use sprays directly on the luminaire. Always unplug it before cleaning or changing the bulb.

Design and use

The STUDIO collection was born from a simple idea: to recover the restrained elegance of mid-twentieth-century design and bring it to objects that still make sense today. It is not a lamp that imitates the past, but interprets it from a contemporary point of view. The result is a piece that does not draw attention through excess, but through precision.

The body is made of steel with a matte black finish. It is a material that provides solidity without adding visual weight. The surface neither reflects nor distracts — it simply accompanies. For those furnishing a space with dark furniture or neutral walls, this type of lamp fits in without creating a harsh contrast. It also works on a light wood bedside table, where the black acts as a visual anchor point.

The branch-shaped stem is the detail that sets this lamp apart from other similar options. It is not an added ornament, but a structural part of the design. It runs along the body of the luminaire keeping the cable tidy, while at the same time providing an organic texture that contrasts with the clean geometry of the rest of the piece. It is the kind of detail that is appreciated when seen in person, not just in photographs.

At 550 mm in height, the lamp has a clear presence on any surface. It is not a small piece that goes unnoticed, but it does not take up more space than necessary either. The 297 mm depth allows the light beam to be directed with sufficient flexibility. On a standard bedside table or on a desk, the proportions are just right.

In terms of use, this table lamp adapts to different contexts within the home. In the living room, it can be placed on a console or side table to create a focused light zone without relying on general lighting. In the dining room, on a sideboard or side furniture, it provides a more intimate atmosphere during dinner. On the desk, it directs light where needed without disturbing the rest of the space.

Compatibility with an E14 LED bulb allows the color temperature to be chosen according to use. Warm light encourages rest and reading in a relaxed environment. A more neutral light is useful for working or for spaces where greater clarity is needed. The lamp accepts any LED bulb with the indicated cap, always within the 8 W limit.

The STUDIO design also pairs well with other materials present in the home. It combines without issue with ceramic, marble, or wood surfaces. It does not compete with them — it complements them. In a space where there are already objects with volume or texture, a lamp with clean lines and a sober color helps to balance the whole.
