Overview

The SAVOY lamp by FARO is a table lamp designed for interior spaces where detail matters. Its matte black finish and textile shade in the same tone give it a defined character without feeling overdone. It works well on a nightstand, on a work desk, or on a dresser in the living room — in any corner where direct light and a clear visual focal point are needed.

What sets it apart is the ring located at the top of the structure. Light bounces off it and creates a soft upward reflection, adding depth to the atmosphere without the need to install anything else. It is not just a functional lamp: it has a presence of its own in the space.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine careful manufacturing with design conceived for everyday home use. SAVOY was designed by Isaac Piñeiro and is part of that line where form and function are worked together from the very beginning.

Installation and specifications

This table lamp requires no fixed installation. It is placed directly on the chosen surface and plugged into any standard outlet. Before use, make sure to place it on a flat, stable surface, away from the edge. The cable should be kept tidy without tension. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately — make sure it does not exceed 15 W to avoid overloading the lamp.

For maintenance, clean the steel structure with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. The textile shade can be cleaned with a soft brush or a dry microfibre cloth. Always unplug the lamp before cleaning it or changing the bulb. Do not leave the light on unattended for extended periods.

Design and use

SAVOY is a table lamp with a clear aesthetic and no unnecessary ornamentation. The matte black steel structure has a balanced proportion: 510 mm in height and a base of 320 mm per side, enough to stay firmly in place without taking up too much space. It is not a small or large bedside lamp — it fits well on work or rest surfaces without dominating the overall setting.

The black textile shade covers the light source and directs the illumination downward, concentrating it in the area where it is needed. But the most distinctive feature of this table lamp is the metal ring at the top. When light travels up toward it, it creates a reflection that reaches the ceiling, adding an extra layer of ambiance without installing anything additional. It is the kind of detail that does not appear on the spec sheet but changes the experience of the space.

In the bedroom, placed on the nightstand, it provides just the right light for reading without disturbing others. Its matte black tone does not distract or demand attention — it coexists with what is already in the room. On a desk, it provides the direct lighting needed to work comfortably. It can also be used as a secondary light source in the living room, on a low shelf or a console table, where it reinforces the general light without replacing it.

The matte black colour allows the lamp to work in interiors of different character. In a space with clean lines and a neutral palette, it fits effortlessly. In a more eclectic setting, it acts as an element that visually organises without imposing a specific style. If the space features other metallic objects — frames, furniture legs, handles — the steel structure of SAVOY connects with them naturally.

This is not an LED lamp imitating another style. It has its own identity, resolved with few resources: solid material, careful finish, a shade that fulfils its function, and a ring that adds something unexpected. For those seeking a modern lamp without a generic look, SAVOY is a concrete option.

It works with an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W, making it compatible with the low-consumption options available in any shop. The universal voltage between 100 V and 240 V means it can be used without an adapter in different countries, which is useful if the buyer moves frequently or wants to ensure the lamp remains valid if they change homes.

Weighing 1.67 kg, it is solid enough not to move easily, yet can be repositioned without effort when the space changes. Isaac Piñeiro's design for FARO presents here an ambient or occasional-use lamp that needs no justification through decorative excess. It stands on its own merits.

Questions and answers

Is the upper ring of the SAVOY lamp included in the structure or is it a separate accessory?

The ring is part of the original structure of the lamp. It is not an independent accessory and requires no additional assembly. It comes integrated into the design and is the element that enables the light reflection toward the upper part.

What type of bulb does the SAVOY lamp require and what is the maximum admitted power?

The lamp uses an E27 socket, compatible with standard LED bulbs. The maximum admitted power is 15 W. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Can the SAVOY lamp be used in both Europe and America without an adapter?

Yes. The lamp is compatible with voltages between 100 V and 240 V, which covers the electrical standards of most countries. It does not require a transformer or voltage adapter.
