Overview

The FARO Nahtrang wall recessed light is a compact-profile lamp designed for areas where a specific, well-directed light source is needed. A reading nook, the bedside in a bedroom, a narrow hallway where ceiling light doesn't reach well — these are exactly the places where this wall light finds its purpose.

What sets it apart from other similar options is the switch integrated into the base itself. No need to get up or search for the wall switch in the dark: the control is within reach, on the lamp body itself. This simplifies everyday use without adding extra elements to the overall setup.

FARO is a Spanish brand with experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its catalogue includes functional proposals for those seeking clarity in design and reliability in prolonged use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light is fixed directly onto the wall using screws. Before starting, check that the surface is solid and that there are no hidden cables in the work area. The wiring must be disconnected from the electrical supply throughout the entire process. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is best to have it done by a professional.

The LED light source is integrated, so there is no need to handle bulbs or make additional adjustments once the recessed light is installed.

To clean the surface, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could affect the satin nickel finish. Do not clean the lamp while it is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The Nahtrang recessed light is made from aluminium and steel, two materials that provide solidity without adding excessive weight. The satin nickel finish gives it a neutral, understated look that fits well in both modern interiors and more discreet spaces where the lighting should not compete with the rest of the decorative elements.

The integrated LED light source emits at 3000K, a warm colour temperature that does not produce the whitish or cold tone that can sometimes feel uncomfortable in rest areas. In a bedroom, this warmth means the light accompanies without disturbing, ideal for reading before sleep without making the room feel like a medical office or a workplace.

The switch built into the base is a detail that makes a difference in everyday use. It does not depend on the wall circuit, but instead allows the lamp to be switched on and off directly from the body of the wall light. This makes it a practical option for installing in areas where there is no nearby switch, or where it is convenient to have control right where the light is.

Its dimensions — 170 mm high, 95 mm long and 155 mm deep — place it on a compact scale. It does not take up unnecessary visual space, but it does not go unnoticed either. In a hallway, this proportion is exactly what is needed: a lamp that provides functional light without protruding from the wall in a conspicuous way. On a staircase, where space is often tight, its slim profile allows it to be installed without interfering with movement.

The satin nickel finish performs well against the light emitted by the wall light itself: it does not produce strong reflections or glare that might distract. The light exits in the direction the spotlight is aimed, allowing illumination to be concentrated where it is needed without scattering light into areas that require no attention.

In terms of consumption, a maximum power of 4.5 W is a very modest figure for a wall lamp. The LED technology it incorporates works with sufficient efficiency to deliver a good amount of light with reduced consumption. This makes it suitable for spaces where the lamp may remain on for several hours in a row, as is often the case in a bedroom or a regularly used reading area.

The wall light operates on universal voltage between 100V and 240V, meaning it is compatible with standard electrical installations without the need for adapters or converters.

In terms of design, the Nahtrang recessed light follows a minimalist aesthetic. There are no ornaments or striking shapes. This gives it genuine versatility: it can be integrated into a bathroom with metallic finishes, in the entrance of a home, or in a room where the interior design is restrained and functional. Its presence is discreet, but the quality of the material is noticeable to the touch and in the way it maintains its appearance over time.

For those renovating a space and looking for a lighting solution that does not overcrowd the wall but offers something more than just light, this recessed light resolves the equation between form and function effectively.

Questions and answers

Does the integrated switch replace the wall switch or does it work independently?

The switch on the base works independently. It allows the wall light to be switched on and off directly from its body, without needing to use the wall switch. It is useful when installed in areas without a nearby switch, such as the bedside or a hallway.

Does the LED light source come factory-installed or does it need to be fitted separately?

The HIGH POWER LED light source comes integrated as standard. It does not need to be purchased separately, nor is any additional assembly related to the lighting required. The recessed light arrives ready to connect once fixed to the wall.

Is the satin nickel finish resistant to use in high-traffic areas such as a hallway or staircase?

The aluminium and steel body with satin nickel finish offers good resistance to continued use. It requires no special care beyond periodic cleaning with a dry cloth. It is suitable for passageways where the lamp may be subject to frequent use.
