Overview

The STAN recessed lamp by FARO is an interior luminaire designed to be installed on a wall. Its satin gold finish gives it a refined look without being flashy, and it fits well in spaces where a touch of warmth is desired without giving up a modern design. It adapts to different home environments: it works equally well in a bedroom, a dining room, or a hallway with little natural light.

The STAN series offers a uniform light distribution, without areas of higher or lower intensity. This makes it a practical option for those who want stable and discreet lighting, without the lamp becoming the visual focal point of the space.

FARO is a brand with experience in interior and exterior luminaires. Its products combine solid materials with a refined style, designed for those who seek quality in every detail of the home.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, make sure the recess in the wall has the appropriate dimensions for the product's measurements. Turn off the electricity at the main panel before starting any work. The fixture is mounted directly on the wall, so it is important to verify that the surface is solid and that there are no cables or pipes behind it. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, the most advisable course of action is to call an electrician. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so have it on hand before installing.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin gold finish. Do not touch the bulb with unprotected hands. Always turn off the lamp before cleaning or handling it.

Design and use

The body of this lamp is made of aluminium and ABS, two materials that combine strength and lightness. The aluminium provides structural stability and effectively dissipates the heat generated by the bulb during use. The ABS allows design details to be shaped without adding unnecessary weight. The result is a compact, solid luminaire with a satin gold finish that holds up well over time.

Satin gold does not shine aggressively like polished gold. It has a softer, almost matte finish that gives it an elegant appearance without drawing too much attention. This makes it versatile: it can complement both a modern, minimalist style and an interior with more decorative character.

In bedrooms, this type of wall-recessed lamp works very well as ambient lighting or as side lighting next to the bed. Two symmetrical lights on either side of the headboard can replace or complement bedside tables. In smaller bedrooms, where every centimetre counts, this solution frees up space without sacrificing functionality.

In the dining room, one or more wall-recessed lamps help create a warmer atmosphere during meals. Combined with a main lamp above the table, they reinforce the lighting without producing annoying shadows. The gold finish pairs well with warm woods, earthy tones, and surfaces in black or anthracite grey.

In kitchens, this model can be integrated into work areas or passage walls, where functional lighting is needed without taking up too much visual space. The 5 W power is sufficient for targeted and efficient lighting in those areas.

The light bar of the STAN series maintains the same uniform distribution logic that characterises the entire collection: no bright spots or dark areas. This visual consistency makes it easy to combine several units in the same space without the result looking uneven. If you want to use a bar of lamps in a long corridor or in an access area, the repetition of this model creates an orderly and clean visual rhythm.

Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V allows it to be used without adapters in different countries. The GU10 LED socket is one of the most common on the market, so there is no difficulty in finding a compatible bulb. It is advisable to use a warm colour temperature bulb if you want to reinforce the cosy effect of the gold finish, although that depends on each person's taste and the atmosphere sought in each room.

Recessed lights of this type fit particularly well in renovation projects where a modern result is desired without resorting to overly eye-catching elements. The contained profile of this lamp — 60 mm in diameter — means it integrates discreetly into any wall, without interrupting the visual continuity of the space.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp include the GU10 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You need to purchase a GU10 LED bulb separately. It is a very common type of bulb and easy to find in any lighting store or large retail outlet.

Is this lamp intended only for indoor use or can it also be used outdoors?

This model is exclusively for indoor use. It is not designed to be installed outdoors or in areas exposed to moisture or the elements.

Can the aluminium body heat up during prolonged use?

Aluminium conducts and dissipates heat efficiently, which helps keep the body temperature within normal limits. With a 5 W LED bulb, the heat generated is minimal and the body should not heat up significantly under normal conditions of use.
