Overview

The LUAN lamp by FARO is a recessed luminaire designed to be installed in the ceiling of indoor spaces. Its square format, matte white finish and opal diffuser make it a discreet option that adapts to different home environments. It works well in kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms or hallways, and in general in any space where uniform and continuous light is needed.

The 40W LED source with a color temperature of 3000K offers a warm tone, pleasant to the eye even after several hours of use. It is designed for extended periods of use, so it does not cause visual fatigue or overheating under normal conditions of use. The LED is included, so there is no need to purchase anything additional before installing it.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in home lighting. Its catalogue ranges from modern design to more classic lines, and this lamp reflects its focus on functional and durable products for everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, check that the opening in the ceiling has the correct dimensions to accommodate the recessed body. Installation must be carried out by a certified electrician, as it involves direct connection to the electrical mains. Make sure to cut the power supply before starting any work. The operating voltage ranges from 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid.

To clean the aluminium body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The PMMA diffuser is cleaned in the same way. Do not disassemble it for cleaning unless strictly necessary. This lamp is designed exclusively for indoor use.

Design and use

The LUAN lamp has a body made of aluminium, a material that combines strength and low weight. This makes the work easier during installation and ensures that the structure does not give way over time. The matte white finish is neutral and does not visually attract dust in the same way as glossy finishes, which makes day-to-day maintenance easier.

The PMMA diffuser with an opal finish distributes light evenly throughout the room. There are no concentrated light spots or marked shadows, something that is especially appreciated in bedrooms or work areas where a lot of time is spent. The warm 3000K light creates a relaxed atmosphere, without the coldness of whiter lights.

With 388 mm sides and a height of 91 mm, this luminaire fits well in ceilings with limited space. Being flush or nearly flush with the surface, it does not break the visual line of the ceiling and maintains the modern style of the space. This type of design is especially useful in apartments or homes with low ceilings, where a pendant lamp would not fit comfortably.

In the kitchen, this ceiling light provides clean illumination over work areas. The warm light does not distort food colours, which makes everyday tasks easier. In the dining room, the same colour temperature helps create a more welcoming atmosphere during meals. In both cases, the white finish of the body integrates easily with furniture of different colours and materials.

In bedrooms, modern recessed lights like this lamp avoid an excess of visual elements on the ceiling. A bedroom with integrated ceiling lights conveys order and calm, two qualities that are especially valued in that space. The warm light reinforces that feeling and helps create an atmosphere that invites rest.

It also works well in hallways, entrances or any transit area where continuous lighting with little frequent maintenance is needed. SMD LED technology is efficient and has a long lifespan, reducing the need to replace the light source for years.

In terms of integration with the surroundings, this ceiling light fits with modern, Nordic or minimalist interior styles. The matte white does not impose a specific design, but rather accompanies what already exists in the room. It can be combined with other aluminium or white elements in the space, such as door frames, woodwork or lacquered furniture, creating a quiet visual continuity.

The fact that the LED is included simplifies the purchasing process. There is no need to look for a compatible source or worry about wattage or the fitting. Everything comes ready for installation, making the experience simpler from the very first moment.
