Overview

This ceiling recessed light from the brand FARO is designed for those looking for a lamp with a matte gold finish that fits naturally into both residential and commercial lighting projects. Its die-cast aluminum body gives it a solidity that is noticeable upon installation, and the circular format with a 90 mm diameter allows it to be integrated without taking up unnecessary visual prominence.

The lamp is installed directly into the ceiling, without additional structures. The process is intuitive: no complicated steps or special tools. It is a valid option for those who want to renew the lighting of a space without investing too much time in installation.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in the lighting sector. Its catalog covers both home use and larger-scale projects, and maintains a consistent style across its collections. This recessed light is a good example of that consistency: functional, well-finished, and adaptable.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this ceiling lamp, check that the opening in the ceiling has the appropriate dimensions to accommodate the body of the recessed light. Cut off the electrical supply before any handling. Make sure the circuit supports the GU10 LED light source you plan to use, as it is not included. The compatible voltage is 100V to 240V, which means the lamp works without adaptations in most domestic and commercial installations.

To keep the matte gold finish in good condition, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents, as they can damage the aluminum coating. Do not handle the light source while the lamp is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The matte gold finish of this recessed ceiling lamp creates a discreet yet recognizable visual presence. It is not a bright gold that draws attention in an exaggerated way, but rather a warm, subdued tone that integrates easily into interiors with a modern, Nordic, or ethnic-inspired style. In a kitchen with neutral-toned or wood countertops, the gold detail adds warmth without disrupting the overall look. In a dining room with chairs upholstered in natural fabrics, this type of finish reinforces the sense of spaciousness and decorative coherence.

The die-cast aluminum body ensures durability without adding weight. At just 250 grams, this flush mount is easy to handle during installation. The aluminum also helps dissipate the heat generated by the light source, which extends the lifespan of the unit.

The circular shape and 90 mm diameter make this lamp a good fit for smooth ceilings, whether in residential design projects or in spaces such as reception areas, hotel corridors, or exhibition areas. In bedrooms, recessed ceiling lights are a common solution to free up visual space and avoid the feeling of clutter that pendant lamps can sometimes create. In small bedrooms in particular, they make a real difference.

Thanks to its universal voltage compatibility of 100V to 240V, this lamp can be installed without adaptations both in Spain and in other countries with different electrical standards. This is a real advantage for projects developed in different markets or for those purchasing with a second home abroad in mind.

The modern design of this recessed light makes it compatible with bar installations, where several units are placed in a line to evenly illuminate a specific area, such as a bar counter, a checkout counter, or a corridor. Combining several lights of this model along a bar creates an orderly and efficient visual effect, without the need for more complex systems. Lights in a line also work well in elongated kitchens or in dining rooms with a rectangular table, where directed lighting improves both functionality and atmosphere.

The style of the recessed light is compatible with other modern home elements: gold handles, picture frames in warm tones, or matte-finished sanitaryware in bathrooms. It does not impose a style, but rather accompanies the one that already exists in the space.

The intuitive installation mentioned by the manufacturer translates into a mechanism that does not require advanced technical knowledge. Even so, if you do not have experience with electrical work, it is most advisable to rely on an electrician for the final connection.
