Design and use

The TIERRA collection was designed by Héctor Serrano with a specific idea: that 3D printing technology can produce something that looks handmade. The result is a ceiling lamp with an oval shade that has a random, almost organic texture. No two pieces are exactly alike, because the manufacturing process does not seek perfect uniformity.

The main material of the shade is PLA mixed with recycled pine cellulose. This plant-based component gives it an appearance similar to natural materials such as wood or wicker, although its structure is completely different. When the pendant lamp is switched off, the shade has a matte and understated presence.
