Overview

The FARO TATAWIN lamp is a ceiling pendant luminaire with a structure and metal shade in satin black. Its classic and timeless design fits effortlessly into spaces where a focal, direct and well-defined light point is desired. The shade directs light downward, making it especially useful over dining tables, kitchen countertops or bedroom reading areas.

The oval shape of the shade is not just an aesthetic decision. That geometry concentrates the light beam onto a specific area, without unnecessary dispersion. The result is clean lighting with contrast and character.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine design criteria with careful manufacturing, and the TATAWIN lamp is a good example of that philosophy.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a ceiling light point with available electrical wiring is required. Mounting is done directly to the ceiling using the included rose. It is recommended to verify that the ceiling support is solid and capable of holding the weight of the luminaire. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to have a qualified electrician do it. Before starting any work, disconnect the power supply from the distribution panel.

To clean the metal shade, use a soft, dry cloth. If dust has accumulated in interior areas, a slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin black finish. Never clean the lamp with the bulb on or when the system is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp has a simple structure that fulfills its function well. The body is steel with a satin black finish, a material that provides solidity without adding excessive visual weight. The oval shade, also metal and in the same tone, directs light downward precisely. There is no glass, no diffuser: light comes directly from the bulb onto the surface you want to illuminate.

This behavior makes it a particularly useful lamp in the dining room. Hung above the table, it creates a well-defined light zone that improves the experience of eating or working in that space. In the kitchen, placed above an island or a work countertop, it does exactly the same: concentrates light where it is needed, without disturbing the rest of the room.

In the bedroom, a pendant lamp like the TATAWIN can work as a bedside light when suspended at the right height. It takes up less space than a table lamp and gives a visually tidier result. The focal light it generates is sufficient for reading without disturbing whoever shares the space.

The classic design of this lamp makes it compatible with many decorative styles. In an interior with straight lines and neutral tones, the satin black reinforces the sobriety of the whole. In spaces with wooden elements or natural materials, it provides a contrast that works well without feeling forced. It also fits in industrial or vintage aesthetic environments, where metal without decorative coatings is a common element.

The oval shade has a discreet visual presence when off, and a more defined one when on. From certain angles, the oval shape projects clean shadows on the walls or ceiling, which can add visual texture to the space without needing any additional accessories.

In the living room, this pendant lamp can be used as a focal point above a side table or in a reading corner. It does not need to be the only light source in the room. Combined with other ambient lights, it fulfills the role of accent lighting well.

For the bathroom, if there is an enabled ceiling point, this lamp can add a personal touch to a space that normally receives little decorative attention. The condition is that the installation point must be outside areas of direct humidity.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb allows flexibility in choosing the color temperature that best suits the use. Warm light gives a sense of calm and well-being. A more neutral light is better for specific tasks. The maximum power of 15 W is sufficient for functional and efficient lighting.
