Overview

The TATAWIN lamp by FARO is a pendant luminaire designed for interior spaces where a specific, well-directed light point is sought. Its structure in satin black steel and the green metal shade make it a piece that combines functionality with a clear visual character. It is a hanging lamp that adapts well to environments with a defined personality: a dining room with a wooden table, a kitchen with dark finishes, or a living room where design matters as much as lighting.

It is fixed to the ceiling via suspension, making it useful for creating focal light zones without the need for general lighting. This is useful, for example, over a work table, above a kitchen island, or in a room where you want to highlight a specific corner.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in home lighting. Their products combine careful design with durable materials, intended for everyday use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an existing light point on the ceiling is required. The lamp connects to the ceiling via the included suspension system. Before starting assembly, make sure to cut the electrical power from the distribution board. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is recommended to seek the help of an electrician. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately, with a maximum power of 15 W.

To clean the lamp, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin black finish or the green shade. Do not directly wet any electrical component. Keep the lamp switched off and cool before cleaning it.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp has an oval shape that sets it apart from the more common models on the market. That oval silhouette is not a minor detail: it defines the direction of the light and gives the piece a visual presence that is noticeable even when it is switched off. The oval metal shade in green directs the beam downward, concentrating the light on the area that needs illuminating the most.

The body is made of steel with a satin black finish. It is a material that holds up well over time without losing its appearance, and requires no special maintenance. Satin black is a tone that integrates into a wide variety of interiors without being dominant. It does not compete with the furniture or the décor, it simply complements.

The combination of black and green is one of the most recognizable features of this pendant lamp. The green of the shade adds a touch of character without being excessive. It works well alongside natural materials such as wood or wicker, and also in more contemporary spaces with smooth surfaces and neutral palettes. In a dining room with chairs upholstered in earthy tones, this ceiling lamp adds a point of contrast that balances the whole. In a kitchen with dark countertops, the green of the shade visually connects with plant elements or with tableware.

In the bedroom, a pendant lamp like this works well above the bedside table or in a reading corner. The focal beam prevents the light from spreading throughout the room, which is comfortable when someone wants localized light without disturbing others. In the bathroom, if a suitable ceiling point is available, it can be used above a mirror or a vanity area to achieve more precise lighting.

The TATAWIN design also fits in spaces such as a well-proportioned hallway, a library, or a home office. In those settings, the oval shape of the shade and the classic style of the structure create an atmosphere reminiscent of vintage desk lamps, but adapted to the ceiling. There is something in that combination of black metal and green shade that connects with the industrial without being stridently industrial.

The lamp is compatible with E27 LED bulbs, allowing you to choose the color temperature according to the atmosphere you want to create. A warm light reinforces the classic character of the design; a neutral light brings it closer to a more modern style. That flexibility makes this ceiling lamp useful in different contexts without needing to change the piece.

Weighing 1.67 kg, it is a lightweight pendant luminaire, suitable for standard ceilings without special reinforcements. Installation does not require building work or structural modifications, only an electrical supply point on the ceiling and the usual connection steps.

Questions and answers

Does the TATAWIN lamp include an E27 LED bulb in the package?

No, the bulb is not included. It is necessary to purchase separately a bulb with an E27 socket and LED, with a maximum power of 15 W.

Is the satin black finish on the body resistant to oxidation over time?

The body is made of steel with a satin black finish, a treatment designed for interior use that maintains its appearance with basic maintenance. It is recommended to clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth to preserve the finish.

Does the oval shade direct the light in a specific direction or illuminate in all directions?

The oval shade is designed to project the light in a focal manner downward. It is not a general lighting lamp: it concentrates the beam on the area directly beneath it, making it especially useful over tables or work areas.
