It is a structural part. The bracket holds the cable and connects the shade to the ceiling point. The branch shape is the solution the design adopted for that function, so it cannot be separated from the whole.

Is the oval shade with a 290 mm diameter suitable for lighting a standard dining table?

For a four-person table it works well as the main light source. If the table is longer, it can be combined with other pendant lights in a row to cover the entire surface evenly.

Does this lamp accept any E27 bulb, or are there power restrictions?

It accepts E27 bulbs with a maximum power of 15 W. It is recommended to use LED bulbs to make the most of that limit and achieve efficient lighting.
