Installation and specifications

The total height of 1875 mm includes the cable, so it is advisable to measure the space before hanging it, especially in rooms with standard ceilings. If the ceiling is low, the cable length can be adjusted before securing the canopy. It is recommended that installation be carried out by an electrician, as it involves connection to the electrical mains. The socket is E27 and accepts an LED bulb of up to 15 W, which is not included.

For maintenance of the papyrus shade, cleaning with a dry or slightly damp cloth is advised, without chemical products. The matte black steel body can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Avoid direct exposure to high humidity, so it is not suitable for installation in the bathroom or in areas with frequent steam.

Design and use

The SAIGON shade is constructed from papyrus strips woven together. This material results in a surface with visible texture, slightly translucent, that filters light softly. It is not a glass or crystal shade, but something more organic, closer to natural materials. When the lamp is on, the light passes through the papyrus and projects a warm, diffused glow into the surroundings.

The body is made of steel with a matte black finish. This combination — dark steel with a beige shade — is one of the lamp's strongest points. It works well in living rooms with light wood furniture, in dining rooms with chairs upholstered in neutral tones, or in Nordic-style interiors where the contrast between materials is part of the style. It can also fit with vintage-style interiors, where the texture of the papyrus adds rather than detracts.

In the dining room, a pendant lamp above the table is almost always the piece that visually organizes the space. SAIGON, with its 700 mm diameter, occupies the center well without overwhelming. Questions and answers

Does the papyrus diffuser allow you to see the bulb directly when the lamp is on?

Not directly. Papyrus is a material with a certain density that filters and diffuses light, so the bulb filament cannot be seen clearly. The effect is light distributed softly around the oval shade.

Is the total height of 1875 mm fixed or can it be adjusted?

The height includes the suspension cable, which can be gathered before securing the canopy to the ceiling. This allows the pendant lamp to be adapted to ceilings of different heights without the need to permanently shorten the cable.

Is the matte black steel body resistant to scratches during installation?

The matte black steel finish is reasonably resistant, but it is advisable to handle the lamp carefully during assembly. If rubbed with metal tools, it may be marked. It is recommended to protect it with a cloth while working near the body.
