Design and use

The CONGA collection was created by FARO's in-house design studio, Faro Lab, with the intention of creating a pendant lamp that works both in domestic environments and professional spaces. The result is a ceiling piece with a clear presence, free of artifice, that adapts to different interior styles effortlessly.

The body is made of steel with a matte black finish. This type of finish does not reflect light directly, which allows the lamp to integrate visually into the space without competing with other decorative elements. The structure is solid and lightweight at the same time, with a net weight of less than two kilograms that makes ceiling installation easy without the need for additional reinforcements.

The white papyrus shade is one of the most defining elements of this pendant lamp. Papyrus is a material that filters light gently, without creating harsh shadows or areas of excessive contrast. When the bulb is on, the shade diffuses the luminous halo evenly into the surrounding environment. In a room with soft lighting, this effect is particularly pleasant. The shade has an oval shape, wide, with 500 mm in both length and width. That oval silhouette gives it presence without appearing visually heavy.

The CONGA collection is also designed for hospitality environments: restaurants, hotels, coworking spaces, or reception areas where lighting design is part of the experience of the place. The combination of matte black steel with white papyrus fits in modern interiors, Nordic proposals, and spaces with industrial or vintage touches. The lamp does not impose a style, but rather adapts to the one that already exists.

As for the light source, it accepts an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W. The oval papyrus shade works especially well with warm lights, which enhance the natural tone of the material. Yes. The cable tension wire is designed precisely for that: it allows the pendant lamp to be shifted horizontally relative to the anchor point on the ceiling, without the need for a new electrical installation. Is the oval shade rigid or can it deform over time?

The shade is made of papyrus, a structured material that maintains its oval shape under normal indoor use conditions. It is not a soft or flexible fabric. With proper maintenance, avoiding direct impacts and moisture, it retains its shape without issue.

What type of E27 LED bulb is most suitable for this lamp given the papyrus shade?
