Overview

CONFETTI is a pendant lamp from the collection designed by Nutcreatives for FARO. It is ceiling-mounted and works well in spaces where more than functional lighting is desired: a living room with personality, a dining room where details matter, a kitchen with its own character. The shade occupies the visual center of the room and makes the bulb part of the whole, rather than an element to be hidden.

What sets this lamp apart is the material of its shade: recycled plastic from bottle caps. This is not a decorative detail or an empty promise. Production takes place entirely in Valencia, which shortens the manufacturing chain and reduces environmental impact from the source. For those renovating their home and wanting every choice to make sense, this pendant lamp offers a concrete answer.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its catalog combines in-house design with selected materials, and many of its collections are born from collaborations with independent studios such as Nutcreatives.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a fixed ceiling light point is required. The suspension cable has a total length that is part of the indicated height, so it is worth measuring the distance from the ceiling to the point where you want the shade to hang before purchasing. The fixing is standard and does not require special tools, although it is recommended that the final electrical connection be carried out by an electrician if you have no prior experience. The socket is E27, compatible with most LED bulbs available on the market.

To clean the lamp, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used on the shade or on the aluminum body. Before any cleaning or handling, make sure to disconnect the lamp from the power supply. Do not expose to direct moisture or install in areas such as the bathroom without first verifying compatibility with humid environments.

Design and use

The CONFETTI shade is oval, with a diameter of 300 mm that gives it presence without being excessive. This oval shape allows light to distribute naturally downward and to the sides, creating a balanced atmosphere in the space where it is installed. The body is aluminum with a matte black finish, a tone that fits with different decoration styles without imposing a too strongly defined character.

The fact that the shade is oval is not merely a formal decision. That geometry makes the lamp work well both alone and in groups of two or three units above a long dining table or a kitchen island. Placed in a row, the pendant versions create an orderly composition that gives rhythm to the space. A single unit, on the other hand, is sufficient to center a round table or a reading nook in the living room.

In the bedroom, a pendant lamp of these dimensions can replace bedside tables or complement them, provided the light point is well positioned. The oval shade at that height generates a more contained light, which does not flood the entire room but does illuminate what is needed comfortably. In a larger room, it can function as the main lamp if combined with other ambient light sources.

The shade material deserves separate attention. The recycled plastic from bottle caps has a slightly irregular texture that sets it apart from the most common industrial finishes. It is not crystal, not glass, not wicker or rattan, but it has its own identity. Depending on the bulb chosen, the shade can allow light to pass through at different levels of intensity, which gives some room to adjust the visual result.

The collection is also available in a 45 cm diameter, an interesting option for larger spaces or for those who want the lamp to carry more visual weight in the ceiling composition. Both versions share the same design and materials, so they can be combined without issue in the same space.

In terms of style, CONFETTI leans toward a modern aesthetic with a sensitivity toward the artisanal. It is not vintage, not industrial, not Nordic in the strictest sense. It is a lamp that fits in contemporary interiors where design and sustainability coexist effortlessly. The matte black body works well with light woods, neutral wall tones, and furniture with clean lines.

The bulb is not included, but the E27 socket is the most common on the market. A warm-temperature LED bulb reinforces a cozy atmosphere; a neutral-light one gives a more functional result. That choice is entirely in the hands of whoever installs the lamp, which adds flexibility to the whole.

Questions and answers

Is the CONFETTI shade completely opaque or does it let some light through?

The shade is made from recycled plastic from bottle caps, a material that may allow some light to filter through depending on the bulb used. It is not completely opaque like a solid aluminum shade, but neither is it translucent like glass. The final result depends in part on the wattage and type of bulb installed.

Is the suspension cable adjustable in length?

The total indicated height is 1410 mm, which includes the suspension cable. Before installing the pendant lamp, it is worth measuring the distance from the ceiling to the desired height to verify that the length is suitable for the space. If an adjustment is needed, it is advisable to consult an installer.

Is this lamp compatible with bulbs other than LED?

The socket is E27, which accepts different types of bulbs. The indicated maximum power is 15 W, so it is recommended not to exceed that value regardless of the type of light source chosen. For best results in terms of consumption and lifespan, it is recommended to use an E27 LED bulb.
