Overview

CLAIRE is a hanging ceiling lamp designed for indoor spaces where a light source with its own character is sought. Its round shape and bright green finish make it recognizable without being showy. It works well in a dining room, a kitchen, or any corner where a lamp suspended from the ceiling can become the central element of the room.

The metal structure with a green grid is reminiscent of the lights that hung over fishing boats. That visual origin gives it a presence that goes beyond the purely functional. It is not an oval lamp in the classic sense, but a round and compact piece that takes up little space yet makes itself noticed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine solid materials with designs that stand the test of time, without following trends that become outdated within a few years.

Installation and specifications

To install this hanging lamp, an enabled electrical outlet on the ceiling is required. Fixing is done directly from above, without the need for additional structures. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if it is to be connected to a new circuit. The suspension cable allows the height to be adjusted according to the space. Before any electrical operation, make sure to cut the power at the main panel.

The steel surface with a bright green finish does not require abrasive products. A dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove dust. Avoid cleaners with solvents or alcohol, as they can deteriorate the finish. Do not clean the lamp with the power connected or when the bulb is hot.

Design and use

The CLAIRE lamp has a circular steel structure with a grid body in the same gloss green color. That combination of solid metal and open grid creates an interesting visual interplay: the light is projected downward in a direct manner, while the grid allows part of that glow to pass through to the sides. The result is a concentrated but not sealed illumination that creates atmosphere without saturating the space.

The design is inspired by the lights used on fishing boats. That maritime reference translates into a hanging lamp with a utilitarian appearance but a clear identity. It does not imitate any specific style, although it fits well with industrial-style interiors, with spaces that combine wood and metal, or with environments where a vintage element is already present.

Installed above the dining room table, the CLAIRE lamp creates a direct focal point. The adjustable cable height allows it to be adapted to high or standard ceilings without losing proportion. In a kitchen with a central island it also works well, especially if the three-light version with a multiple ceiling rose is installed, which distributes the illumination more broadly over the work surface.

In a bedroom, a single unit above the nightstand or in the center of the ceiling can be enough to define the atmosphere. The gloss green contrasts with neutral tones such as white, gray, or beige, and complements more natural palettes with the presence of wood or dark fabrics. It also integrates seamlessly into a living room where the rest of the furniture is simple and color comes from textiles or plants.

The bathroom is another space where this hanging lamp can have a place, as long as the installation conditions allow it and the area is not directly exposed to humidity. In that context, the gloss green finish pairs well with white tiles or finishes in a mineral tone.

Although it is not an oval lamp, its compact circular format behaves similarly in terms of visual presence. It takes up little floor space but is clearly perceived from any point in the room. The lamp is available in other colors, which allows it to be coordinated with different color schemes without giving up the same shape and construction.

The E27 socket accepts an LED bulb of up to 15 W. The bulb is not included, which allows you to choose the type of light that best suits each use: warmer for rest spaces, more neutral for the kitchen or work areas. The universal voltage between 100 V and 240 V makes it compatible with electrical installations in different countries.

The reference to fishing lights is not merely aesthetic. It implies a lamp designed to last, with resistant materials and a construction that does not depend on fragile elements. There is no glass, no oval shade that can break. The steel grid protects the bulb and gives it character at the same time.

Questions and answers

Is the CLAIRE lamp available in a version with multiple lights?

Yes. There is a version with a 3-light multiple ceiling rose that allows a larger surface to be illuminated from the ceiling, ideal for dining tables or kitchens with a central island.

What type of socket does this hanging lamp use and what bulb is compatible?

The socket is E27 and accepts an LED bulb of up to 15 W. The bulb is not included with the lamp, so you can choose the light tone you prefer.

Is it possible to adjust the height at which the lamp is suspended from the ceiling?

Yes. The suspension cable allows the height to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the space and the desired distance between the ceiling and the light point.
