Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using anchors. Before installing, verify that the surface is firm and can support the weight of the product. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Make sure to cut the power before handling any wiring. Since this is an outdoor lamp, check that the cables are well protected against moisture and that the seal at the fixing area is correct.

Use and maintenance. Clean the body surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents, as they may damage the aluminium finish. The PMMA diffuser can be cleaned with water and mild soap. Avoid direct impacts on the diffuser. Since the light source is an integrated LED, it is not routinely replaced, so there is no need to open the unit to change bulbs.

Design and use

The STICKER wall light is part of an outdoor lighting series created by the Lúcid design studio in collaboration with FARO. The visual approach is understated: a compact block of aluminium in dark grey, with softened corners and an opal diffuser that distributes light without creating glare or marked shadow areas. The result is a lamp that does not visually interrupt the space, but integrates into it.

The aluminium body is the main material of this wall light. Aluminium is lightweight and resistant, and withstands temperature changes and sun exposure well without warping or losing its finish. In dark tones such as the dark grey of this model, fingerprints and dust are less visible, which means the lamp maintains a neat appearance for longer without needing to be cleaned frequently.

The PMMA diffuser in an opal finish is the element that defines how the light is perceived. Rather than exposing the LED source directly, the diffuser spreads light evenly across the illuminated surface. This prevents glare when looking at it head-on and softens the light contours on the wall. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white, close to traditional incandescent light, which is pleasant in residential outdoor settings.

This wall light is particularly useful on residential façades, main entrances and side access areas. Placed at the right height, it illuminates the area in front of the door well without creating an excessively direct beam of light. It also works in gardens with boundary walls, where a path needs to be marked or an area signalled without using post luminaires. On a terrace, it acts as ambient lighting when overhead illumination does not reach the sides well.

At 280 mm long and 85 mm high, it does not take up much space on the wall and adapts to areas where there is little room between architectural elements, such as between a door and a window, or in a narrow outdoor corridor. The weight of 1.53 kg makes fixing straightforward without the need for special anchors on standard masonry surfaces.

In terms of combining with other elements, the dark grey body works well with neutral-coloured façades, exposed concrete, natural stone or dark-toned cladding. It does not have a defined style such as rustic or industrial, which allows it to adapt to contemporary environments without forcing a specific aesthetic. It can be placed symmetrically on both sides of an entrance or as a single piece on one side of the façade.

The integrated SMD LED source requires no routine replacement and consumes 13 W, representing a contained energy expenditure for continuous outdoor use. Being compatible with voltages between 100V and 240V, it works with any standard domestic installation without adapters.

Questions and answers

Does the PMMA diffuser withstand prolonged exposure to sun and rain outdoors?

PMMA is a common material in outdoor luminaires because it tolerates UV rays well without yellowing quickly and does not absorb water. Even so, like any material, it is advisable to clean it periodically to maintain its transparency and prevent accumulated dirt from affecting light diffusion.

Can the integrated LED light source be replaced if it stops working?

The SMD LED source is integrated into the wall light and is not designed to be replaced by the user. In the event of failure, it is advisable to contact customer service to assess the appropriate solution.

Does the dark grey aluminium body require any special treatment to maintain its finish outdoors?

No additional treatments are required. It is sufficient to clean it occasionally with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust or surface dirt. Abrasive products that could scratch or wear down the finish must be avoided.
