Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to first identify the type of surface: brick, concrete, or drywall. Each material requires an appropriate wall plug and screw. The electrical connection must be made with the power switched off. If the installation is outdoors, make sure the wiring is protected from the junction box. The wall light also accepts a ceiling rose accessory (reference 75755, not included) that provides a neater finish on the wall or ceiling.

The stainless steel body requires no special treatment, but it is advisable to clean it with a soft, damp cloth to remove accumulated dust or dirt. Avoid abrasive products or solvents. The LED lamp is included and does not require frequent replacement. Do not handle the inside of the wall light with the power on.

Design and use

The SCUBA 600 has an elongated, compact profile. At 600 mm long and only 74 mm deep, it fits well on narrow walls or in spaces where other wall lights would be too bulky. The tube shape, chrome finish, and opal diffuser give it a straightforward look, free of decorative elements that might distract. It is a lamp that makes its presence felt through form, not ornamentation.

The light beam exits through a section of the tube, concentrating the illumination in a specific direction. This allows it to be used to highlight a particular area of the wall, mark the outline of a door, or create a grazing light effect on a stone or brick surface. It is not a general lighting fixture, but a piece that works well when you know exactly what you want to illuminate.

Outdoors, it withstands direct rain as well as prolonged sun exposure without issue. The 316L stainless steel is the same material used in marine environments, which gives an idea of its corrosion resistance. For a north-facing façade, where moisture lingers longer, or for a seaside terrace, this material is a solid choice. The IP66 protection covers both water and dust, and the IK10 rating makes it suitable for areas where it may receive accidental impacts.

Indoors, it fits well in kitchens with industrial finishes, converted garages, stairways, or corridors with sufficient height. The style is unpretentious: the wall light simply does its job and pairs well with other metal or concrete elements. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm light, closer to yellow-white than cool white. It is a tone that feels comfortable in transit areas or spaces in continuous use, without the visual harshness that cooler light can have. Combined with the opal diffuser, which softens and better distributes the beam, the result is illumination that does not dazzle even when looked at directly.

The included 20 W LED lamp has energy class B, implying moderate consumption for the level of light it provides. It requires no warm-up time: it operates at full capacity from the very first moment. This is especially useful for outdoor entrances where an immediate response when switching on the light is expected.

The wall light can be installed on both walls and ceilings using the optional ceiling rose accessory. This versatility allows it to be used in different ways depending on the available space. On a terrace with a low ceiling, for example, mounting it on the ceiling can free up the wall and completely change the light distribution in the area.

Questions and answers

Can the SCUBA 600 wall light be installed in an outdoor area directly exposed to rain?

Yes. The wall light has IP66 protection, meaning it is sealed against direct rain and dust ingress. The 316L stainless steel body adds resistance to prolonged moisture and saline environments.

Is the LED lamp included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD-type LED light source is included. It does not need to be purchased separately. The colour temperature is 3000K and the maximum power is 20 W.

Is the ceiling rose accessory essential for wall installation?

No. The wall light is fixed directly to the wall without the need for the ceiling rose. The accessory (reference 75755) is optional and serves to provide a neater finish at the connection point, both for wall and ceiling installations.
