Overview

The FARO outdoor wall light is a wall lamp designed for outdoor spaces: home entrances, terraces, facades, and gardens. Its contemporary design effortlessly adapts to modern environments, and its aluminum construction with opal polycarbonate diffuser makes it suitable for long-lasting outdoor installation.

If you are looking for a wall light to illuminate the entrance of your home or the perimeter of the garden without drawing too much attention, this lamp balances form and function. The gray housing integrates well with neutral-toned walls or facades with contemporary cladding.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in lighting. Its outdoor products combine design criteria with materials intended to withstand continuous use in environments such as a terrace or an exposed facade.

Installation and specifications

To install this outdoor wall light, make sure the surface where it will be mounted is solid and flat. As it is a surface-mounted wall luminaire, the wiring must be integrated or protected within the wall structure itself. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a professional, especially in areas exposed to rain or high humidity. The lamp supports voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it easy to use in different contexts without additional adapters. Before connecting, make sure the circuit is de-energized.

To keep the wall light in good condition, simply clean the aluminum housing with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the gray finish. The opal polycarbonate diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not direct water jets directly onto the lamp during cleaning. If the light does not turn on, first check the E27 bulb, as it is not included in the package.

Design and use

The FARO outdoor wall light has a compact profile that does not visually interfere with the wall where it is mounted. At 250 mm long and only 120 mm tall, it takes up little space but fulfills its function well. The depth of 135 mm keeps it at a comfortable distance from the wall, which helps project light toward the area intended for illumination.

The body is made of aluminum, a material that withstands temperature variations well and does not deteriorate with sun exposure. The gray finish is discreet and does not visibly accumulate dirt. On neutral-colored facades or concrete walls, this wall light becomes part of the overall composition without standing out excessively.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser distributes light evenly. Unlike transparent diffusers, the opal finish prevents the bulb from being too visible and reduces direct glare. This is especially useful in passageways, where the lamp is at or near eye level, such as at a home entrance or an outdoor corridor.

The E27 socket is one of the most common on the market. That means you will have no difficulty finding a compatible LED bulb. By choosing an LED bulb of up to 15 W, you will get adequate light for the garden or terrace without excessive consumption. The universal voltage between 100 V and 240 V is a detail that may seem minor, but it is useful if at some point you change the installation or the property has an electrical network with fluctuations.

As for where to install it, this wall light works well at the entrances of single-family homes, on the sides of a garage door, on the perimeter of a terrace, or on any exterior wall that needs focused lighting. It can also be used in the garden if there is a nearby wall or column to mount it on. The contemporary design does not suit very rustic or classic styles, but it does suit buildings with clean lines, industrial finishes, or current-style renovations.

If you plan to combine several luminaires on the same facade or along a garden wall, this wall light model maintains a coherent visual line due to its simple geometry. It can also be combined with other outdoor luminaires from the same brand to achieve a uniform result.

The lamp weighs less than one kilogram, which simplifies installation and does not require special anchors on most conventional walls. Being surface-mounted, it does not require anything to be recessed into the wall — only the base needs to be fixed using the anchor points included by the manufacturer.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the E27 bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The lamp accepts an E27 socket with a maximum power of 15 W. You can use any LED bulb of that type available on the market.

Does this wall light have a built-in motion sensor?

No, this lamp does not include a motion sensor. If you need the light to activate automatically, you would need to add an external sensor compatible with the electrical installation or choose a different model that includes one as standard.

Does the opal polycarbonate diffuser withstand direct sun exposure over the years?

Polycarbonate is a common material in outdoor luminaires precisely because it tolerates solar radiation well. Even so, in areas with very intense sun for many hours a day, it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the diffuser to detect any changes in its appearance.
