Overview

The FARO KOV wall light is a wall lamp designed for outdoor use. It mounts directly onto the wall and provides light in one or two directions, depending on the mounting position. It is a suitable option for facades, entrances, terraces, and garden areas where functional and unobtrusive lighting is needed.

The design of the wall light is compact with clean lines. The light source is integrated inside the body, which prevents direct glare and produces a more comfortable light for the eye. It can be oriented upward, downward, or in both directions simultaneously, allowing the light output to be adapted to each space. The emission angle is 14° in each direction.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in developing lighting fixtures for indoor and outdoor use. Their products are designed to combine functionality with a careful finish, and are present in residential and commercial projects.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall surface is clean, dry, and sturdy. Fixing must be carried out with the appropriate anchors for the type of support. As this is an outdoor lamp, it is important that the electrical connections are protected from moisture. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that the installation be carried out by a professional.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid the use of abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white aluminium finish. Periodically check that there is no accumulation of dirt in the drainage areas, as the system is designed for water to flow through and not be retained.

Design and use

The KOV wall light is an outdoor wall lamp made of aluminium with a white finish. The square body has compact dimensions — 212 mm high, 80 mm long, and 87 mm deep — making it compatible with spaces where an overly bulky fixture is not desired. It weighs 1.23 kg, which makes it easy to fix onto any type of wall without the need for special anchors.

The light source is COB LED, included with the wall light, with a power of 2x6W and a colour temperature of 3000K. This temperature produces a warm and soft light, similar to incandescent light, which is pleasant in passageways or rest areas. It does not create the visual harshness of cooler lights, and integrates well in both modern and more classic settings.

One of the main features of this lamp is its light emission system. The beam is recessed within the body of the wall light, which reduces glare and improves visual comfort. It can be configured to emit light upward, downward, or in both directions simultaneously, with an angle of 14° in each case. This flexibility allows the same wall light to be used to create different effects on a facade or on a terrace.

The integrated drainage system in the body ensures that rainwater does not become stagnant inside. It is a technical detail that extends the product's useful life and prevents problems caused by accumulated moisture. In climates with frequent rainfall or in areas exposed to sun and temperature changes, this type of solution makes a difference over time.

Regarding installation, the wall light can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal positions, which expands the placement possibilities. At an entrance, it can be oriented downward to illuminate the ground. On a terrace or in a garden, it can be used in bidirectional mode to create a more enveloping effect on the wall. On facades with limited space or in areas where a larger lamp does not fit, the compact format of this wall light is especially practical.

The white colour of the aluminium body is neutral and adapts well to surfaces of different colours and materials. It does not draw attention to itself and lets the lighting effect take centre stage. It works well alongside other luminaires from the same range, although it also integrates without difficulty in mixed installations.

FARO designs this type of wall light with durability in mind and to ensure that the final result is coherent with its surroundings. The aluminium finish is treated to withstand outdoor conditions without losing the careful appearance that characterises the product.
