Overview

The ESTELA wall light by FARO is an outdoor lamp designed for wall mounting. It operates with two GU10 spotlights that direct light both upward and downward, allowing a larger surface area to be covered with a single fixture. It is a practical option for illuminating entrances, façades, terraces, or any outdoor area where clarity is needed without resorting to several independent luminaires.

The rust brown finish gives it a character of its own. It is not a lamp that goes unnoticed, but it is not excessive either. It fits well in spaces with an industrial or vintage style, as well as in more modern outdoor settings where a warm contrast with materials such as concrete, brick, or wood is desired.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their outdoor products combine solid construction with careful design, built to last under real-world conditions.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this wall light, make sure the surface is solid and can receive the anchoring without problems. As this is an outdoor lamp, it is important to properly seal the cable entry point to prevent moisture ingress. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if a new outlet needs to be created or work involves recessed wiring. Check that the voltage of your installation is compatible before connecting the wall light.

For maintenance, clean the aluminum body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the rust brown finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth. Periodically check the condition of the sealing and fixing points, especially if the lamp is exposed to demanding weather conditions. Remember that GU10 LED bulbs are not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The ESTELA wall light has a body made of aluminum with a rust brown finish. Aluminum is a lightweight yet resistant material that withstands outdoor exposure well without deteriorating quickly. The rust tone is not simply an applied color: it adds a visual texture that is reminiscent of aged iron, giving the wall light a solid and characterful appearance. This industrial aesthetic sets it apart from other outdoor lamps with more neutral or white finishes.

The diffuser is made of transparent glass, which allows the light from the GU10 spotlights to emerge in a direct and clean manner. The bidirectional distribution, upward and downward, creates a more complete lighting effect on the wall and the immediate surroundings. On a façade, for example, this means the surface is well defined both above and below the wall light, creating a visually balanced result.

On a terrace, this type of wall light works particularly well when placed at eye level or slightly above. It illuminates the space without creating areas of excessive shadow and, at the same time, contributes to the overall ambiance. In a garden with boundary walls, several wall lights placed at regular intervals can mark a pathway or highlight specific areas such as entrances or corners.

The scale of the product is contained: 180 mm high and 80 mm deep. It is not a large lamp, which makes it suitable for spaces where an excessive presence is not desired. Even so, having two light points means its luminous output is greater than its size would suggest.

This wall light can also be integrated into interiors with an industrial or loft style. In hallways, living rooms with exposed brick, or home workspaces, the rust brown finish and glass diffuser complement materials such as steel, dark wood, or cement. Compatibility with standard European and international voltage, between 100 V and 240 V, makes it suitable without any additional adaptations.

The wall is the natural support for this model. Its direct wall mounting ensures stability and a low profile that does not interfere with passage or with other nearby decorative elements. Since it does not hang or protrude excessively, it is functional even in high-traffic areas.

Questions and answers

Does the ESTELA wall light include the GU10 bulbs, or do they need to be purchased separately?

The bulbs are not included. The wall light accommodates two GU10 LED spotlights, which must be purchased separately. Check that the wattage of the bulbs you choose does not exceed the 5 W specified for this model.

Is this wall light ready to be installed directly outdoors without additional protection?

Yes, the ESTELA model is categorized as an outdoor luminaire. Its aluminum body withstands exposure to outdoor environmental conditions. Even so, it is recommended to properly seal the cable entry point during installation to ensure adequate protection against moisture.

Do the two GU10 bulbs project light in the same direction, or does each one cover a different area?

Each spotlight is oriented in a different direction: one projects light upward and the other downward. This allows a larger surface area to be illuminated from a single wall light, without the need to install multiple lamps to cover the same space.
