Overview

ESTELA is an outdoor wall light designed by the brand FARO. It is mounted directly on the vertical surface and provides focused light where it is needed most: entrances, covered hallways, facades, or terraces. The body is made of aluminum with a black finish and a transparent glass diffuser. Compact and clean-lined, this wall light integrates effortlessly into modern environments as well as spaces with a more understated character.

The lamp works with a GU10 LED bulb, which is not included in the package. This allows you to choose the color temperature that best suits the specific use. For an entrance or garden, a neutral or warm light can make a difference in how the space feels when arriving home.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products combine functionality with balanced design, intended for domestic installations and renovation projects.

Installation and specifications

For installation, a wall power connection prepared for this type of wall light is required. As this is an outdoor luminaire, it is advisable to ensure that the cables are properly protected before mounting. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially on a facade or area exposed to rain. The wall light is fixed directly to the wall using anchors appropriate for the surface type.

To clean the aluminum body, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth and no abrasive products. Pressurized water or harsh chemicals should not be used. Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, always disconnect the power supply.

Design and use

The ESTELA wall light by FARO has a compact format that does not take up unnecessary visual space on the wall. At just 105 mm tall and 80 mm deep, it fits well on surfaces where space is limited: a narrow pillar, the side of a door, or the wall at a home entrance. Despite its small size, it performs well in its function of guiding and concentrating light where it is needed.

The black aluminum body holds up well in outdoor conditions. It is a material that does not rust easily and maintains its finish longer than other common materials. The black color gives it a solid, neutral appearance that does not compete with other elements of the facade. Whether on an entrance with natural stone, a plastered wall, or an exposed brick surface, this wall light finds its place without disrupting the overall composition.

The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through unfiltered, making the most of the power of the chosen GU10 bulb. Unlike opal diffusers, this type of glass projects the light beam more directly, which is useful for illuminating a specific area. On a terrace, for example, it can be oriented to mark the entrance or light up a specific corner without flooding the entire space.

Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V means this wall light can be used in different countries without additional adapters. This also makes it a practical option when renovating a home with variable electrical installation characteristics.

For those looking to integrate the lamp into a broader system, such as a motion detector or an external twilight sensor, this wall light can be connected to such devices as long as the installation allows for it. A well-placed motion sensor near the entrance, for example, allows the lamp to switch on automatically when presence is detected. This adds convenience and also serves as a security deterrent.

In the garden, the ESTELA wall light can be installed on low walls or on the exterior-facing facade to guide nighttime movement or mark access points. It does not generate extensive ambient lighting, but rather a precise beam, making it especially useful in areas where precision is preferred over diffusion. The lamp also works well in combination with other wall lights from the same line to create layered lighting along a hallway or facade.

The weight of 0.41 kg makes it very easy to handle during installation. It does not require additional wall reinforcement to support it, which simplifies the process. In domestic renovations where updating outdoor lighting without major construction work is desired, this type of wall light represents a straightforward solution.
