Overview

The FARO outdoor wall light is a wall lamp designed for open-air spaces where discreet and functional lighting is sought. It is installed directly on the wall and projects the light beam downward, making it a suitable option for gardens, terraces, and exterior access areas. It takes up no space, does not interfere with movement, and integrates effortlessly into facades of different styles.

The lamp incorporates high-efficiency LED technology with a warm color temperature at 3000K, creating a pleasant atmosphere at dusk without glare. The body is made of die-cast aluminum in a matte white finish and the diffuser is made of transparent tempered glass, a combination that guarantees durability against outdoor conditions.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in the lighting sector. Its products combine contemporary design with materials built to last, both indoors and outdoors.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using screws. Before starting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The lamp is compatible with voltages between 100V and 240V, so no additional transformer is required for standard installations. Given its compact size, it is advisable to mark the anchor points precisely so that it sits level. If the wall is made of brick or concrete, use appropriate wall plugs for the material. The LED light source is included, so it is not necessary to purchase it separately.

Use and maintenance. Clean the aluminum body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth to maintain transparency. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected. Periodically check that the fixing points are properly tightened, especially if the area is exposed to wind.

Design and use

The FARO wall light has a very compact profile: 85 mm high, 60 mm long, and 40 mm deep. This means it barely protrudes from the wall, which is a real advantage in passageway areas such as entrances, exterior corridors, or garden stairs. There is no risk of someone bumping into it while passing by, and it does not visually interfere with other elements of the facade.

The die-cast aluminum body provides solidity without adding weight. At just 0.26 kg, the lamp is easy to handle during installation and does not require reinforced anchoring. The matte white finish is discreet and adapts well to both light-colored walls and neutral-toned surfaces. On a white facade, the wall light goes almost unnoticed during the day and fulfills its function when night falls.

The transparent tempered glass diffuser allows the light source to be seen and projects the beam cleanly downward. This type of downward lighting is common in decorative outdoor luminaires because it creates an orderly visual effect without scattering light in all directions. In a garden, for example, it allows a path to be marked or an entrance area to be highlighted without illuminating the entire space indiscriminately.

The color temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional light bulb. On a terrace, that tone makes the atmosphere more welcoming at dusk. It is not a cold or technical light, but a light that accompanies without disturbing. A fixture with that temperature is pleasant for outdoor gatherings or simply for enjoying the outdoors after sunset.

The included LED has a power of 4W, which implies very low consumption. It is not a wall light designed to illuminate large surfaces, but rather to provide ambient light or to mark specific areas. In that sense, it works well in combination with other luminaires: for example, alongside a higher-powered spotlight for an outdoor dining area, or as a complement to other lamps distributed along a perimeter wall.

The contemporary design of the wall light makes it compatible with tidy, modern-style gardens, but it also fits in on terraces with vegetation or more natural surroundings. The matte white does not clash with materials such as wood, stone, or exposed concrete. On a facade with stone cladding, the wall light provides a point of light without disrupting the overall aesthetic.

If you have an interior courtyard or a covered outdoor area, this wall light can also work well. Being designed for outdoor use, it withstands the usual humidity and temperature conditions found in those spaces. It is not necessary to reserve it only for completely exposed areas.

As for motion or daylight sensors, this wall light does not include an integrated detector, but it can be connected to an external sensor system if you wish to automate switching. An independent motion sensor, placed in the electrical circuit, allows the lamp to activate only when presence is detected, which reduces consumption and increases safety. In this way, the wall light can also serve a deterrent function at access points and entrances, beyond a purely decorative one.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the LED light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is included. You do not need to purchase any additional components for it to function.

Does the tempered glass diffuser hold up well to temperature changes outdoors?

Tempered glass is more resistant than conventional glass to thermal variations, making it suitable for an outdoor wall light exposed to different climatic conditions throughout the year.

Is this wall light compatible with external motion sensor systems?

Yes. Although the wall light does not incorporate a motion sensor as standard, it can be integrated into a circuit with an external detector. In this way, the lamp activates automatically when presence is detected.
