Overview

The FARO outdoor recessed wall light is a discreet and functional solution for marking paths, entrances, or passageways on the exterior wall of a home. Its compact size and dark grey finish allow it to blend in without drawing too much attention, fulfilling its function without altering the appearance of the wall or facade.

This wall light is designed for those looking for signage lighting that does not take up visual space but clearly marks the boundaries of a route. Being recessed into the wall, it does not protrude or interfere with the surroundings. The light it emits is uniform with a neutral colour temperature of 4000K, which makes it easy to read the space without creating an atmosphere that is too cold or too warm.

FARO is a brand with experience in technical and decorative lighting for indoor and outdoor use. Their products combine durable materials with functional design, built to withstand continuous use in exposed spaces.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an opening must be made in the exterior wall according to the dimensions of the recessed fitting. The recessed box and driver are included in the package, so no additional accessories are needed for basic mounting. It is recommended that electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially in outdoor environments where the installation must meet technical safety requirements for exposed areas.

The aluminium body requires no special maintenance. To clean the transparent PC diffuser, simply use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive products or solvents that could damage the surface. Periodically check that the seal of the recessed fitting remains in good condition, especially in areas with frequent rainfall or high humidity.

Design and use

The FARO outdoor recessed wall light is made of die-cast aluminium, a material that offers structural rigidity and good resistance to wear in outdoor conditions. Aluminium maintains its shape even with temperature changes, making it suitable for wall installation in areas exposed to sun, wind, or ambient humidity. The dark grey finish integrates easily into concrete, stone, or neutral-toned walls without creating a striking contrast.

The diffuser is made of transparent polycarbonate, allowing the LED light to pass through without visible distortion. This contributes to precise spatial signage without unnecessary light dispersion. The 4000K SMD LED light source emits a neutral white tone that is useful in areas where clear visibility is needed without creating a strongly artificial lighting atmosphere.

This recessed fitting has compact dimensions: 80 x 80 x 50 mm, making it easy to integrate into the wall without requiring extensive masonry work. Being recessed into the wall, it adds no volume and creates no shadows projected by the fitting itself. This is particularly relevant in outdoor entrances or corridors where available space is limited.

The luminaire operates at 220V-240V and consumes 1W, resulting in very low energy consumption during continuous use. It is a practical option for garden signage, outdoor stairs, access ramps, or any passageway where lighting does not need to be intense, but sufficient to provide orientation.

As for possible application spaces, this spotlight fits well at the entrance of a single-family home, on garden steps, along the side of a path, or on a dividing wall between areas. It can also be used in interior patios with outdoor access or on terraces where it is desired to delineate a passage without installing more bulky luminaires. Being a wall recessed spotlight makes it particularly suitable for areas where protruding wall lights could be inconvenient or vulnerable to impacts.

It can be combined with other signage luminaires of the same type to create a continuous line of light along a route. The visual consistency provided by the dark grey body allows several wall lights of the same model to blend into the wall without generating visual noise. For those looking for discreet yet effective garden lighting, this FARO recessed fitting offers a balanced response between form and function.

The reduced weight of 0,24 kg makes it easy to handle during installation. The included recessed box simplifies the installation process and ensures the wall light is correctly aligned with the wall surface. The included driver eliminates the need to source additional components before commissioning.

Questions and answers

Are the recessed box and driver included or do they need to be purchased separately?

Both the recessed box and the driver are included in the package. No additional accessories are required for basic installation of the wall light.

Does the transparent PC diffuser yellow over time due to sun exposure?

Polycarbonate is a material with good UV radiation resistance under normal outdoor conditions. To preserve its condition, it is recommended to clean it periodically with a soft cloth and avoid contact with aggressive chemical products.

Is this recessed fitting suitable for installation in a garden wall at ground level?

The wall light is designed for wall fixing. Its small size and recessed profile make it compatible with garden walls, provided that the outdoor electrical installation conditions are observed and proper protection of the connections is ensured.
