Overview

The FARO recessed floor spotlight is designed for those who want to organize their outdoor space without complications. It installs flush with the ground and directs light upward, marking the path of a garden, the edge of a terrace, or the approach to a façade. The result is discreet lighting that blends into the surroundings without taking up space or interrupting foot traffic.

This recessed fixture uses COB LED technology, providing warm, concentrated light with a consumption of just 7W. The anti-glare panel it includes helps distribute the light more softly, without direct reflections that are unpleasant to the eye. The IP67 protection rating ensures it works well even in areas exposed to rain, and its IK08 impact resistance makes it suitable for traffic surfaces with wheeled loads of up to 1000 kg.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting for residential and architectural spaces. Its outdoor products are designed to withstand real-world conditions without losing visual presence.

Installation and specifications

To install this recessed floor spotlight, you need to prepare a housing in the floor with the appropriate dimensions for the luminaire body. Before starting, make sure the electrical wiring is already run to the installation point. The connection must be made with the power off. Since the product is installed flush with the ground outdoors, it is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially if the floor is concrete, paving stone, or another material that requires masonry work.

The satin stainless steel finish requires no special maintenance. To clean the surface, a damp cloth and, if necessary, a neutral detergent are sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or those containing chlorine, as they can damage the finish. The diffuser glass can be cleaned in the same way. Since it is an outdoor spotlight, it is advisable to inspect it periodically to check that the seal is still in good condition and that no dirt has accumulated inside.

Design and use

The FARO recessed floor spotlight combines a compact design with construction built to last under real-world conditions. The body is made of 316L stainless steel and aluminium, two materials that withstand temperature changes, humidity, and continuous outdoor exposure well. The satin stainless finish provides a clean look that does not draw too much attention during the day and integrates effortlessly into floors of various styles, from natural stone to concrete or ceramic.

The transparent glass diffuser works together with the included honeycomb panel to distribute light without creating uncomfortable hot spots. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm light that gives the garden or terrace a welcoming atmosphere at nightfall. It is not harsh or cold lighting, but rather something closer to what you look for when you want your home's exterior to invite you to stay.

Installed at floor level, this recessed fixture disappears during the day and takes centre stage when night falls. It can be used to mark paths in the garden, define the edges of a walkway on the terrace, or signal the entrance to a façade. It also works well on outdoor staircases or along the perimeter of a courtyard, where low-level lighting helps people move safely without the need for an overhead spotlight.

The IP67 rating guarantees total protection against dust and against temporary immersion in water. This makes it particularly suitable for areas where automatic irrigation systems may reach the luminaire or where rain is frequent. The IK08 impact resistance rating and the ability to support wheeled loads of up to 1000 kg make it a valid option not only for pedestrian areas, but also for access points where a light vehicle may occasionally pass.

The circular design with an 80 mm diameter takes up little space and makes installation easy even in areas where room is limited. At just 90 mm in height, it fits well in most paved surfaces without the need for major construction work. The weight of just over one kilogram indicates solid construction without being difficult to handle during installation.

This outdoor spotlight is a practical solution for those who want to organize the lighting of their garden, courtyard, or terrace in an orderly and long-lasting way. It does not rely on batteries or solar power, which simplifies its operation. It connects directly to the electrical mains and works like any other light point in the home's installation.
