Design and use

The RUSH applique by FARO is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, two materials that complement each other well in outdoor applications. The aluminium provides rigidity and strength without adding excessive weight. The polycarbonate, both in the body and the diffuser, withstands impacts with an IK10 rating, meaning it can handle blows that would damage more fragile materials. This combination is common in technical luminaires installed in high-traffic areas or exposed locations.

What does the IK10 rating mean on this applique?

IK10 is the highest level of mechanical protection against impacts. It indicates that the fixture can withstand blows of up to 20 joules without its casing suffering damage. It is useful in passageways or in installations where there is a risk of accidental impacts.

Does the 180-degree option affect the mounting or only the light distribution?

It only affects the light distribution. The mounting is the same as any standard wall applique. The 180-degree asymmetry means that all the light is projected forward and downward, without illuminating the area behind the lamp.

Is it necessary to replace the COB LED light source over time?

The lamp includes the LED light source already integrated and ready to use from the first moment. LED lights have a long service life under normal conditions of use, so replacement is not usually needed in the short or medium term.
