Overview

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, long-lasting and well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers large surfaces without creating dark zones or uncomfortable shadow spots. It is a solution designed for those who want the exterior of their home or community to be well lit without complications.

The RUSH collection combines aluminium and polycarbonate in a structure that withstands outdoor conditions without deteriorating. The IP65 protection means that rain, dust and solid bodies do not affect the lamp's operation. The IK10 impact resistance level is the highest on the scale, making it suitable even for areas with frequent foot traffic. The CASAMBI version allows it to be integrated into smart control systems.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine functional design with materials built to last, both indoors and outdoors.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the floor lamp, it is necessary to prepare a suitable foundation in the ground. As this is a ground-mounted luminaire with a height of 3.7 metres, it is recommended to consult an electrician for connection to the electrical network. The working voltage is 220V-240V, so installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Verify that the base is firm and level before anchoring the post.

For maintenance, clean the aluminium body with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive products that may damage the dark grey finish. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not use solvents or aggressive chemical products on any part of the lamp.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp is part of a technical lighting collection designed for outdoor use. Its structure combines aluminium and polycarbonate, two materials that work well together under conditions of continuous outdoor use. The aluminium provides rigidity and mechanical strength, while the transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to be projected cleanly onto the ground and surroundings.

The 360-degree distribution option means this floor lamp illuminates symmetrically in all directions. This makes it a good choice for garden centres, path crossings or small squares where there is no need to favour a particular direction. There are no dim zones on the sides or spots where the light falls unevenly.

The colour temperature of 4000K sits at a neutral point between warm and cool light. It is not as yellow as older sodium street lamps, nor as cold as those used in industrial settings. It is a light that allows clear visibility without being harsh in a domestic environment. For a residential garden or private access, that tone is sufficiently functional and at the same time pleasant when night falls.

The light source is an included 38W COB LED. This type of LED concentrates several chips in a single area, producing more uniform light than conventional LEDs. The 38W consumption is moderate for a lamp of this height and with 360-degree coverage. The floor lamp connects to the standard domestic electrical network of 220V-240V, with no need for transformers or independent solar systems.

The IP65 protection level covers heavy rain and dust ingress. For an outdoor floor lamp installed in a garden, terrace or patio, this means it can remain exposed to the elements without the need for additional covers or frequent checks for moisture. The IK10 adds protection against accidental impacts, something appreciated in environments where there is physical activity or people passing through.

The dark grey finish works well with stone, gravel or dark paving floors. It does not draw attention during the day and at night the focus shifts to the light it emits. It is a design that does not compete visually with its surroundings, making it compatible with contemporary-style gardens or more natural green spaces.

The CASAMBI version integrates the floor lamp into wireless control networks. This allows switching on, switching off and intensity adjustments to be programmed from an application, without the need to install an external sensor or an additional motion system. For communities or owners who want smart lighting without complex installation work, it is a straightforward option.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the floor lamp has IP65 protection?

The IP65 rating indicates that the luminaire is completely protected against dust and against water jets from any direction. For outdoor use, this means it can remain exposed to rain without water entering the interior or affecting the LED's operation.

Does the 360º distribution affect the performance of the floor lamp in small gardens?

The symmetric 360-degree distribution is ideal when uniform illumination is required in all directions from a central point. In small gardens it works well placed in the centre of the space or along a path, as it prevents any areas from being left unlit on either side of the post.

What advantage does the CASAMBI version offer over a standard floor lamp?

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be controlled wirelessly via an application. Switching schedules can be programmed, intensity adjusted and multiple luminaires managed simultaneously without the need for additional wiring or the installation of a separate rechargeable unit or external module.
