Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 street light is an outdoor luminaire designed for open spaces where stable and long-lasting lighting is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers gardens, paths, parks and passageways with uniform, well-distributed light. It is an option designed for those seeking functional lighting without complicated installation or constant maintenance.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, giving it resistance against daily use in variable conditions. The IP65 protection ensures that neither rain nor dust affects its performance. The IK10 impact rating means it can withstand impacts without deteriorating, which is important in public spaces or areas with frequent foot traffic.

FARO is a brand with a long history in the design of indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products combine resistant materials with carefully crafted finishes, aimed at both residential use and more demanding installations.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this street light, it is advisable to properly prepare the anchor point in the ground. The fixing is directly to the pavement or concrete base. It is recommended to verify that the surface is level and that the electrical wiring reaches the installation point before placing the pole. For mains connection, it is preferable to have a certified electrician, especially for outdoor installations.

The transparent PC diffuser and aluminium body do not require special products for cleaning. A damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent are sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the surface. Periodically check the anchor points to ensure the street light remains firmly fixed to the ground.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 street light is part of a collection of technical outdoor lighting. The entire line shares the same materials and protection standards, making it easy to combine different heights and configurations within the same space. The dark grey finish integrates well in both urban environments and more naturalistic garden designs.

The aluminium body provides lightness without sacrificing solidity. The polycarbonate diffuser withstands the elements better than glass and does not shatter under impact. The combination of both materials makes this lamp suitable for areas where maintenance is infrequent.

The integrated COB LED technology offers compact and uniform light emission. At 4000K, the colour temperature sits at a neutral white that is comfortable for night-time visibility without being cold or harsh. It is the type of light that allows paths, plants and entrances to be seen clearly without causing glare.

The 360º variant distributes light symmetrically around the pole, ideal for central areas of a garden or small squares where lighting is needed in all directions. The wide option extends the projection angle towards the ground, covering more surface area at a greater distance from the installation point. These two configurations allow the street light to be adapted to different needs without changing the model.

The CASAMBI version allows the street light to be integrated into smart control systems. From a mobile application it is possible to adjust the intensity, create groups of luminaires and programme automatic switching. This is especially useful in gardens where lighting needs to be regulated according to schedule or activity.

In a private garden, this street light works well along pathways or as the main light source in outdoor seating areas. In parks or communal spaces, several units aligned create continuous lighting without shadow zones. The 3.7-metre pole raises the light source high enough to illuminate a wide area without the need to install many units.

The design of the street light is sober and without ornamentation. It is not a decorative piece in the traditional sense, but its proportions and finish make it suitable for modern landscaping projects, low-maintenance gardens or home entrances where functionality is the priority. It can also be used on large terraces or patios where pole lighting is desired without resorting to wrought iron or more classical style elements.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the street light has IP65 protection?

The IP65 classification indicates that the product is completely protected against dust and against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use without the need for any additional covering, even in areas with frequent rainfall.

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically in all directions around the pole, which is useful in central or open areas. The wide variant projects light at a wider angle towards the ground, covering a larger surface area at a greater distance from the installation point.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source comes included with the street light. It is not necessary to purchase or install any additional components for the basic operation of the product.
