Overview

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks, and open spaces where stable and long-lasting light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers the surrounding area well without leaving dark zones. Its compact design in dark grey fits both modern environments and gardens with dense vegetation, where lighting needs to be functional before decorative.

The RUSH 3700 collection stands out for its construction in aluminium and transparent polycarbonate, materials that withstand outdoor conditions well. The IP65 protection ensures that rain and dust do not affect the lamp's operation. The IK10 impact resistance index adds an additional layer of safety against accidental impacts. The 360° option distributes light symmetrically in all directions, while the wide variant allows it to be projected over a greater distance. The CASAMBI version facilitates smart lighting control without the need for complex installations.

FARO is a company with a long track record in the lighting sector. Its outdoor products combine technical materials with careful design, focusing on installations that work well for years without constant maintenance.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This floor lamp is fixed directly into the ground, so before installing it, it is advisable to verify that the chosen point allows for a stable foundation. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, as the connection to the mains at 220V-240V requires compliance with current regulations. Make sure the wiring is properly protected and not exposed to ground moisture.

Maintenance and use. The exterior of the floor lamp can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, without abrasive products that could damage the aluminium or polycarbonate finish. Do not direct pressurised water jets directly onto the luminaire. Although it has IP65 protection, it is recommended to periodically check the condition of the closures and seals to maintain long-term watertightness.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp is part of a technical collection designed specifically for outdoor use. Its body, made of aluminium, provides resistance without adding unnecessary weight. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to come out cleanly, without colour filters that alter the perception of the surroundings. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent lamp, which is pleasant in gardens and areas of nocturnal passage.

The lamp works with COB LED technology, which concentrates several emission points in a reduced area to achieve greater uniformity. With a maximum power of 38W and a voltage of 220V-240V, energy consumption remains at reasonable levels for this type of outdoor installation. The light source is included, so it does not need to be purchased separately.

Regarding light distribution options, the 360° variant is particularly useful when the floor lamp is placed in the centre of an open space, such as a roundabout or a rest area in the garden. The light is distributed symmetrically and covers the surrounding area without marked shadow zones. The wide variant, on the other hand, is more suitable for illuminating paths, walkways, or avenues, as it projects light over a greater lateral distance.

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be integrated into a smart control system. From an application, it is possible to regulate the intensity, schedule switching on and off, or group several luminaires into the same light scene. This functionality is practical in gardens where the lighting is part of a larger installation, with different coordinated light points.

The IP65 protection makes this floor lamp a solid option for climates with frequent rainfall or dusty environments. The IK10 index indicates that the body can withstand impacts of a certain intensity, something that is appreciated in spaces with pedestrian traffic or regular activity. The combination of aluminium and polycarbonate offers stability against temperature changes, which are common in outdoor installations throughout the year.

The dark grey finish gives it a discreet appearance that does not visually compete with the surroundings. In a garden with vegetation, the floor lamp becomes part of the landscape without drawing attention to itself. In more urban spaces, such as patios or building entrances, it integrates well with stone, concrete, or ceramic pavements. It is not a decorative luminaire nor does it imitate historical styles such as wrought iron or fernandina, but its sobriety makes it compatible with very different environments.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH 3700 floor lamp include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 38W COB LED light source is included. It is not necessary to purchase any additional components for the luminaire to function.

What is the difference between the 360° option and the wide variant in this floor lamp?

The 360° option distributes light symmetrically in all directions, ideal for illuminating a central space. The wide variant projects light over a greater distance, making it more suitable for paths or elongated areas.

What level of protection does this floor lamp offer against rain and physical impacts?

It has IP65 certification, which protects against water in the form of jets and against the ingress of dust. In addition, the IK10 index guarantees impact resistance, making it suitable for installations with regular pedestrian traffic.
