Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for open spaces where durability and continuous lighting matter. With a height of 3.1 metres and direct ground mounting, it fits well in gardens, parks and pedestrian areas. The 360º light beam covers the area symmetrically, with no shadow zones. The wide variant allows light to be projected over a greater distance across the ground, which is useful in larger spaces.

The RUSH collection is made from aluminium and transparent polycarbonate, with IP65 and IK10 certification. This means the floor lamp withstands rain and resists physical impacts, which makes a real difference in an outdoor environment. It is not a decorative lamp designed only for fair weather: it is built to function all year round.

FARO is a brand with a track record in technical lighting for indoor and outdoor use. Their products are aimed at those seeking durable solutions, with well-selected materials and a sober design that does not draw more attention than necessary.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This floor lamp is fixed directly into the ground. Before installing it, check that the anchor point is firm and level. The working voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical supply. The connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if the wiring runs underground. Make sure the installation complies with local regulations for outdoor luminaires in public or private use spaces.

Use and maintenance. The aluminium body and polycarbonate diffuser require no special care. To clean them, a damp cloth and a mild detergent are sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the surface. Periodically check that the ground anchor remains firm, especially after episodes of strong wind or prolonged rain.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp occupies the space between technical functionality and visual discretion. Its dark grey finish neither stands out nor distracts: it is simply there, fulfilling its purpose. In a private garden, along an access path or in a park, this lamp integrates without imposing a specific style. It is not a cast-iron lamp or a decorative piece with elaborate shapes; it is an outdoor luminaire designed to last and to provide good lighting.

The aluminium body gives it rigidity without adding unnecessary weight. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the light from the COB LED to come through without being filtered or distorted. At 4000K, the tone is neutral, neither too warm nor too cold: the kind of light that allows you to see clearly without creating a clinical or industrial atmosphere. It is lighting that is comfortable to the eye, whether walking through the garden or being near it from inside the house.

The 360º option distributes illumination in all directions at the same level, making it a good solution for small squares, path junctions or any point where uniform coverage is needed. The wide variant projects light with a greater spread towards the ground, which is useful in long corridors or areas with lateral vegetation where the aim is to illuminate the route rather than the surrounding space.

At 3.1 metres in height, this floor lamp provides sufficient distance between the light source and the ground to avoid direct glare when walking. It is not a low bollard, nor a tall post; it is an intermediate size that works well in residential gardens or landscaped areas for collective use.

IP65 certification guarantees full protection against dust and against water jets from any angle. This makes it suitable for climates with frequent rainfall, without the need for additional covers or special measures in winter. IK10 impact resistance adds peace of mind in public use environments, where accidental contact is more likely. Combined, these two levels of protection make this floor lamp a solid option to install and forget about problems for years.

As for installation, the ground anchoring system allows it to be positioned with precision, without relying on existing structures. This gives freedom when designing the outdoor lighting layout, whether in a newly created garden or in a renovation of an existing space. Together with other units from the same RUSH collection, a coherent and uniform lighting line can be built along a path or perimeter.

Questions and answers

What level of protection does this floor lamp offer against rain and physical impacts?

The RUSH floor lamp has IP65 certification, meaning it is fully protected against dust and against water projected from any direction. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest level on this scale, making it suitable for areas with pedestrian traffic or exposure to accidental knocks.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 38W COB LED light source is included with the floor lamp. There is no need to purchase or install any additional components to put it into operation once the electrical connection has been made.

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant in this floor lamp?

The 360º option distributes illumination symmetrically in all directions, which is useful in open spaces where uniform coverage is needed around the installation point. The wide variant projects light with a greater spread towards the ground, ideal for illuminating linear routes or areas where greater horizontal reach is desired.
