Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for gardens, parks and open-air spaces where reliable and long-lasting lighting is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it fits naturally among pathways, green areas and entrances, without drawing too much attention while still maintaining a presence. The 360° distribution option ensures that light spreads symmetrically around the pole, leaving no dark zones or poorly lit corners.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that hold up well in outdoor conditions: rain, dust, temperature changes. The IP65 protection means that neither water nor solid particles pose a problem. And with an IK10 impact resistance rating, the lantern is unaffected by accidental knocks that would leave marks on other materials.

FARO is a company with decades of experience in lighting. Its RUSH collection is designed specifically for technical outdoor use, with finishes that combine functionality and discretion.

Installation and specifications

To install this floor lamp in the ground, a firm and level base must be prepared. Anchoring must be carried out following the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring that the pole is completely vertical. The electrical connection must be handled by a qualified professional, as this is an outdoor luminaire connected to the mains at 220V-240V. Before starting, verify that the installation complies with local electrical regulations.

For maintenance, simply clean the polycarbonate diffuser and aluminium body with a damp cloth and neutral soap. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Periodically check the condition of the ground anchor, especially after episodes of heavy rain or strong wind.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for those seeking reliable and unobtrusive lighting in gardens, parks or private driveways. Its technical design does not seek to stand out, but rather to fulfil its function well: providing stable light, distributed uniformly and capable of withstanding outdoor conditions for years.

The dark grey aluminium body has a clean profile. It does not imitate historical styles nor aims to be decorative in the ornamental sense, although its presence in a well-kept garden feels coherent and orderly. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the 2700K COB LED light to emit without colour filters, with that warm tone that is pleasant to the eye and does not distort the colours of the surroundings. It is the type of colour temperature that makes a night garden look inviting, not cold or clinical.

The 360° version is the appropriate choice for locations where the lantern stands in the middle of an open space, such as a small square, a path junction within a property or the centre of a landscaped area. The light is distributed symmetrically in all directions, eliminating the need to place multiple luminaires to cover the same point.

The IP65 protection indicates that the floor lamp withstands direct rain and dust ingress, two common factors in any outdoor installation. This requires no additional maintenance due to rain nor special protection during winter in temperate climates. The IK10 impact resistance adds another layer of reassurance: it is the highest category in mechanical protection, meaning the diffuser and body can withstand impacts that would break less resistant materials. Useful in publicly used spaces or in areas with frequent activity around the luminaire.

With 38W of power and an included COB LED light source, consumption is moderate for the height and light distribution it offers. It is not a solar lamp nor does it operate autonomously, but connects to the mains supply at 220V-240V. This guarantees stable lighting regardless of sunlight hours or weather conditions, which in permanent garden or park installations is more practical.

The height of 3.1 metres positions the light point at an appropriate distance from the ground to illuminate pathways and transit areas without causing glare. It is not as tall as a conventional street lamp, but sufficient for the light cone to cover a useful area around the pole.

Questions and answers

Does the floor lamp include the LED light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The RUSH floor lamp includes the 38W COB LED light source. No additional component needs to be purchased for lighting.

What does IP65 protection mean for an outdoor floor lamp?

The IP65 classification indicates that the luminaire is completely protected against dust and resistant to water projected from any direction. It is suitable for installations exposed to direct rain and normal weather conditions.

Is the 360° version compatible with installation in a private garden?

Yes. The 360° option distributes light symmetrically around the pole, making it especially useful in gardens where the floor lamp is placed at a central point and the aim is to illuminate the surrounding area in all directions without combining multiple luminaires.
