Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where durability and reliability matter as much as light quality. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers a wide area without the need to install multiple light points. The version with a 180° optic distributes lighting asymmetrically, which is useful when you want to direct light towards a specific side, for example, towards a path or a façade.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that withstand outdoor conditions well without losing their appearance over time. The IK10 resistance rating means it can handle strong impacts, and the IP65 certification guarantees complete protection against dust and rain. It is a floor lamp designed to work reliably outdoors, season after season.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its outdoor products combine solid construction with a restrained design that integrates well into different environments.

Installation and specifications

For the installation of this floor lamp in the ground, it is necessary to prepare a suitable foundation base to ensure the verticality and stability of the pole. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician carry out the connections, as the wiring must be properly protected underground and comply with local electrical regulations. Before installing, check that the chosen area does not have underground obstacles such as pipes or existing cables.

For maintenance, clean the body of the floor lamp with a damp cloth and, if necessary, with a neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive products that may damage the dark grey finish or the transparent polycarbonate diffuser. Periodically check the anchor points to ensure the structure remains firm, especially after periods of wind or heavy rain.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp is part of a technical outdoor lighting collection designed for environments where light must work consistently and without surprises. The design is clean and free of unnecessary ornamentation, which means this floor lamp fits well in both private gardens and semi-public spaces such as parks or walkways.

The aluminium body gives it rigidity without adding excessive weight, and the polycarbonate transparent diffuser allows the LED light to reach the ground without noticeable losses. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional urban street lamp, creating a calm atmosphere in the garden without feeling cold or clinical. This tone is particularly pleasant on access paths, plot entrances or outdoor rest areas.

The 180° asymmetric distribution option is one of the most practical aspects of this version. Instead of illuminating equally in all directions, it concentrates the lighting towards one sector, which is useful when the floor lamp is placed next to a wall, a fence or at the edge of a path. This makes better use of the light and avoids glare towards areas where it is not needed.

The CASAMBI version allows this floor lamp to be integrated into a wireless control system. This means you can adjust the light intensity, programme schedules or group several units from an app, without the need to install a complex home automation system. For a garden or park where you want to manage the lighting simply, this option adds a real layer of convenience.

In terms of resistance, the IK10 certification indicates that the body can withstand impacts of up to 20 joules, making it suitable for environments where there may be physical activity, pedestrian traffic or even maintenance equipment. The IP65 protection ensures that neither dust nor pressurised water reaches the interior, so it works well in climates with frequent rainfall or in wind-exposed areas.

The dark grey aluminium finish is discreet and does not draw attention during the day, something many users appreciate because it allows the garden to maintain its natural appearance in sunlight. At night, the light it projects is powerful enough to clearly illuminate the path, without becoming the dominant element of the space.

This floor lamp also combines well with other luminaires from the same RUSH collection, making it easy to create a homogeneous lighting system on terraces, patios or throughout a medium or large garden. The visual consistency between the different light points contributes to a final result that is neat and balanced.

Questions and answers

What does the 180° option mean on this floor lamp?

The 180° optic distributes light asymmetrically, concentrating the illumination towards one side instead of projecting it in all directions. This is useful when the floor lamp is installed next to a wall or at the edge of a path, to direct the light where it is really needed.

What level of protection does it offer against rain and impacts?

This floor lamp has IP65 certification, which guarantees complete protection against dust and against pressurised water jets. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest category in this type of classification.

What is the CASAMBI version and what is it for?

CASAMBI is a wireless control system that allows you to manage the intensity, schedules and grouping of several luminaires from an app. It does not require the installation of additional control wiring and is compatible with standard mobile devices.
