Overview

The FARO MISTU 3L floor lamp is an outdoor luminaire designed to be installed directly in the ground. Its three light points make it a suitable option for entrances, gardens, pathways, or any outdoor area where clear and well-distributed lighting is needed. The height of 2150 mm gives it presence without being excessive, and the dark grey finish fits well with modern facades and neutral-toned pavements.

The aluminium body and opal PMMA diffuser work together: one protects the structure against outdoor conditions, the other distributes light evenly, without bright spots or sharp shadows. It does not include a bulb, which allows you to choose an E27 LED light source according to the specific needs of each installation.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its outdoor range combines technical criteria with a contemporary design that works well in both residential environments and larger open spaces.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the floor lamp, check that the anchoring area is free of underground conduits. As this is an outdoor luminaire fixed to the ground, the electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The wiring must be protected and buried in accordance with local regulations. Make sure the support is perfectly level before definitively securing the base, as once installed it is difficult to correct minor tilting.

For cleaning the aluminium body, a damp cloth and mild detergent are sufficient. Avoid abrasive products that could damage the dark grey finish. The PMMA diffuser is cleaned in the same way; do not use solvents or alcohol-based products, as they can deteriorate the opal surface over time. Periodically check the condition of the base and anchor points to ensure the stability of the floor lamp.

Design and use

The MISTU 3L is a floor lamp with three light heads oriented so that the lighting is distributed in multiple directions. This distinguishes it from a single-spotlight floor lamp, as it covers a larger area without the need to install multiple poles. In a garden with branching pathways, for example, a single installation point can illuminate two or three areas at the same time.

The aluminium pole is the core of the structure. This material withstands prolonged exposure to sun, rain, and temperature changes without warping or rusting. The dark grey finish is not only an aesthetic choice: it also better conceals dirt accumulated from dust or soil splashes, something that has practical importance for an outdoor floor lamp installed in a garden or patio.

The opal PMMA diffusers soften the light output. Unlike transparent glass, opal disperses the beam and prevents direct glare. The result is a more enveloping light that does not create harsh contrasts between illuminated areas and areas in shadow. This is particularly useful on access pathways or on terraces where people move around and need to see the ground clearly.

The height of 2150 mm is that of a conventional street lamp. In a private entrance or a medium-sized garden, that height allows the light to reach a wide surface without being blocked by shrubs or other elements in the surroundings. At the same time, it does not visually compete with the facade or with taller vegetation.

Compatibility with E27 LED bulbs makes it adaptable. Each user can choose the colour temperature that best suits the environment: a warmer light for a residential entrance, a more neutral light for a passageway with a primarily practical function. The maximum power of 15 W is sufficient for a modern LED source, which performs efficiently within that limit.

In terms of integration with the surroundings, the contemporary design of the MISTU 3L adapts well to gardens with clean lines, concrete or stone pavements, and facades in grey or white tones. It can also work alongside other luminaires from the same range to create uniform lighting along a pathway or private road. The aesthetic is not striking or overly decorative, which makes it easy to coexist with different styles without looking out of place.

Questions and answers

Does the MISTU 3L floor lamp include a bulb for direct installation?

No, the bulb is not included. The floor lamp uses E27 sockets and accepts LED sources of up to 15 W, which must be purchased separately before installation.

How many light heads does this version of the MISTU floor lamp have?

This is the version with three light heads. Each one has an opal PMMA diffuser that distributes light evenly, allowing multiple directions to be illuminated from a single installation point in the ground.

Does the pole really measure more than two metres in height?

Yes, the total height is 2150 mm, equivalent to just over two metres. This measurement is designed for an outdoor floor lamp that needs to project light over a wide surface in gardens, entrances, or passageways.
