Overview

A compact G9 capsule bulb for small decorative fittings. It gives 350 lm of warm white light at 2700K and draws 3.5 W.

At 50 mm long and 16 mm wide it is close to the size of the halogen capsules it replaces.

Installation and specifications

G9 bulbs have two looped pins and push straight into the holder, with no twisting. They run on mains voltage and need no transformer. Switch off and let a halogen bulb cool fully before swapping it. Check the opening of the glass shade: the bulb must pass through it.

Questions and answers

Will it fit where a halogen G9 was?

In most fittings, yes. Compare the size: 50 mm long and 16 mm in diameter. Very tight glass covers can be a problem.

Is it dimmable?

Faro does not list this bulb as dimmable.

Does it need a transformer?

No. G9 is a mains-voltage cap.
