Overview

LINK is a floor lamp designed by Estudi Ribaudí for FARO, a brand with a long history in interior lighting. The result is a contemporary-style piece that fits well in a living room, bedroom, or any corner where you want to add a light source with its own presence.

The lamp works as an ambient light point. It is not intended to illuminate an entire room, but to create a specific atmosphere: a warm angle next to the sofa, a dining room corner with character, a reading area in the bedroom. The kind of lighting that changes how a space is perceived without the need for major changes.

The metal base in a bronze finish gives it a modern look without feeling cold. The structure is compact in depth — 56 mm — and reaches up to 1100 mm in height, allowing it to blend in without taking up too much visual space.

Installation and specifications

This floor lamp rests directly on the floor, with no need for anchoring or installation tools. Before placing it, it is worth deciding on the final spot carefully, as the cable must reach a nearby outlet. No connection to an electrical panel or electrician intervention is required. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately before using the light.

To clean the steel body with a bronze finish, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products and solvents are not recommended, as they can damage the finish. Avoid bringing flammable materials near the spotlight when it is on. Always disconnect from the power supply before handling the bulb.

Design and use

The LINK design was born from the Estudi Ribaudí studio with a specific idea: to create a floor lamp that does not try to go unnoticed, but that also does not compete with the rest of the furniture. The elongated structure and bronze finish give it presence without bulk. It is a modern piece that works both in recently renovated interiors and in spaces with a mix of styles.

The body is made of steel, a material that provides real solidity. With a net weight of 1.84 kg, the lamp is stable on the floor without being heavy to move. The depth of 56 mm makes it especially useful in hallways or areas where lateral space is limited. In those cases, a floor lamp with such a narrow body can be placed without interfering with passage.

The height of 1100 mm is standard for this type of floor lamp. It allows the light to emerge at a mid-height, which is ideal for ambient lighting: it does not glare when you are seated, but it is also not so low as to get lost. In the living room, it works well next to an armchair or beside a bookshelf. In the bedroom, it can be placed in a corner to add warmth without replacing the bedside lamp.

The bronze finish pairs well with wooden surfaces — furniture, floors, frames — as well as with textiles in earthy tones, beige, or warm grey. If the space combines wooden elements with steel or ceramic, the bronze acts as a link between both worlds. It is not a finish that ages poorly: it maintains its appearance with minimal upkeep.

The light source is a GU10 LED, with a maximum power of 8 W. It is a low-consumption spotlight that provides enough light to create ambiance without excessive heat. Since the bulb is not included, the user can choose the color temperature that best suits the space: warm light for the bedroom or dining room, more neutral light for the living room or hallway.

In open kitchens that connect to the dining room, a floor lamp can mark the visual boundary between zones without the need for partitions. In the bathroom, provided there is enough space outside the wet area, this type of floor lamp adds a decorative light point that complements the main lighting. In rooms with mixed use — work and rest — the lamp allows environments to be separated according to the activity.

The supported voltage is 100V–240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain and most countries. No adapters or transformers are required.

The LINK collection by FARO is designed for those looking for interior lighting with a contemporary design but without excessive prominence. A piece that integrates, that lights well where needed, and that stands the test of time both in materials and aesthetics.
