Overview

SVEN R is a plaster ceiling light for indoor ceiling lighting. Its rounded shape and matte white finish blend easily into contemporary environments where design seeks visual cleanliness without distracting elements.

This type of lamp mounts directly to the ceiling, with no hanging cables or additional structures. It is a practical option for those who want to update the lighting in a bedroom, kitchen, or dining room without complex installation. The plaster body gives it an appearance close to architectural finishes — it integrates with the ceiling almost as if it had always been there.

SVEN R is designed for those looking for a functional lamp with a refined appearance that takes up no visual space and works well on low ceilings or in rooms where modern lights must coexist with other elements of the home's style.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp on the ceiling, an existing light point is required. Since it uses a GU10 LED bulb — not included — it is advisable to purchase it before installation to avoid interrupting the process. The fixing is directly onto the surface, with no recessed box required. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified technician, especially if there is no prior experience with ceiling connections. The voltage range of 100V to 240V makes it compatible with the standard electrical grid in most countries.

The plaster body requires careful maintenance. To clean the surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, or excessive liquids, as they can damage the material. Do not touch the lamp when it is on or recently switched off. To replace the GU10 bulb, wait until the lamp is completely cool and disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The plaster body of SVEN R is what sets it apart from most surface-mounted lamps commonly found on the market. Plaster has its own texture and weight that give the ceiling light a different presence compared to plastic or metal materials. At the same time, its matte white finish allows it to blend into the ceiling without drawing attention to itself. The result is a lamp that illuminates without imposing itself.

The circular, compact, and symmetrical design fits well with the modern style that predominates in many homes today. In a bedroom, for example, this type of lamp creates direct, clean light without the volume of a pendant lamp. In a smaller dining room, it works as the main light point above a table or a bar, without reducing the visual space of the surroundings. In the kitchen, the direct ceiling mount avoids dust buildup and makes cleaning the area easier.

The lamp accepts a GU10 LED bulb of up to 8 W, making it efficient for daily use in bedrooms or hallways. The wide voltage range allows it to function in different contexts without additional adapters. Although the GU10 bulb is not included, it is a very accessible format on the market, available in different color temperatures, which allows you to adjust the ambiance of each room according to its use.

The scale of the ceiling light — 67 mm in diameter and 110 mm in height — makes it a contained piece. It does not take visual prominence, but it does not disappear either. It is a lamp that fits equally well in a design apartment or in a home with a more traditional yet updated style. If the space combines white finishes, concrete, or natural wood, the plaster body of SVEN R acts as an element that reinforces that coherence.

In spaces with low ceilings, surface-mounted ceiling lights are the most sensible solution. They allow for modern lighting without reducing the usable ceiling height. SVEN R fulfills this role well in hallways, small bathrooms, or storage areas with their own lighting. It can also be used as spot lighting to highlight an area within a larger space, in combination with other light sources.

The reduced weight of the unit — less than half a kilogram — makes fixing easy without the need for special anchors. The matte white plaster surface does not reflect light aggressively, which is comfortable for spaces where people spend extended periods of time, such as the dining room or bedroom.

Questions and answers

Can the SVEN R ceiling light be installed on plaster or drywall ceilings without additional reinforcement?

Yes. The net weight of the lamp is 0.43 kg, which allows it to be fixed directly onto a plaster or drywall ceiling with the appropriate anchors for that type of surface, without the need for additional structural reinforcement.

What type of bulb does this ceiling light accept and where can I find it?

The lamp uses a GU10 LED bulb, with a maximum power of 8 W. This format is standard and available in most hardware stores and lighting shops. It is not included with the product.

Does the plaster material limit the use of this lamp in areas with humidity, such as the bathroom?

Plaster is a material that is sensitive to prolonged humidity. Installing this lamp in areas with direct steam or high humidity is not recommended without first verifying that the environment allows it. For bathrooms with good ventilation its use may be considered, but always with caution.
