Overview

The STAN ceiling light from FARO's home series is a compact ceiling lamp made of aluminum with a satin gold finish. It is installed directly on the ceiling, with no hanging cables or elements that take up vertical space. The result is clean lighting, integrated into the architecture of the space.

This model fits well in bedrooms, kitchens, hallways, or any room where focused light is desired without the lamp drawing too much attention. The satin gold finish gives it presence without feeling overdone. It is not a bright or flashy tone, but one that blends naturally with interiors featuring warm-toned furniture, wood, or similar metals.

FARO has been manufacturing indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures for years with a clear focus: functional design that adapts to real domestic spaces. The STAN series follows that same logic.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This lamp is fixed to the ceiling with direct anchoring. Before installing it, make sure the electrical circuit is switched off at the distribution board. The ceiling light point must be ready to accommodate a surface-mounted luminaire with a GU10 socket. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is advisable to hire an electrician. The lamp does not include a bulb, so have a compatible GU10 LED ready before installation.

Use and care. To clean the surface, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin gold finish. Do not handle the bulb with unprotected hands, as grease can affect its lifespan. Keep the lamp away from direct sources of moisture.

Design and use

The STAN lamp is a surface ceiling luminaire designed for indoor use. Its body is made of aluminum and ABS, with a satin gold finish that gives it a refined appearance without being excessive. The design is modern and restrained: small dimensions, low profile, and a visual presence that adds to the space without standing out too much.

The ceiling light format makes this lamp particularly useful in rooms with low ceilings, where hanging a pendant lamp is not practical. It also works well when a specific light point is needed over a particular area, such as a kitchen countertop, a bedroom nightstand, or the space above a work surface. Direct ceiling installation keeps the space clear and the result is visually tidy.

The satin gold finish is one of the elements that distinguishes this model within the range of available ceiling lights. It is not the classic bright gold, but a more muted and contemporary tone associated with modern design interiors. It pairs well with furniture in neutral tones, light wood, or natural materials. It also works alongside other metallic elements with the same finish, such as faucets, handles, or picture frames.

In the kitchen, this type of lamp can be installed over work areas, next to tall cabinets, or above an island. In the dining room, it can complement a main pendant lamp, providing additional light at specific points. In bedrooms, it can be placed above the reading area or on the ceiling as a focused light source. In hallways or entryways, it fits without issue thanks to its compact dimensions.

The use of GU10 LED technology allows you to choose the color temperature that best suits each space: from warm whites for more relaxed environments to neutral whites for work areas. The maximum power of 5 W keeps energy consumption low. The lamp is compatible with voltages between 100V and 240V, making it suitable for use in different countries.

Although it is an indoor luminaire, its finish and construction are designed to withstand everyday use. Aluminum is a strong and lightweight material, which facilitates both installation and the durability of the unit. The item weighs just 0,18 kg, meaning it does not require special anchoring in standard ceilings.

This series of modern lights from FARO reflects a defined home style: luminaires that do not seek to draw attention, but do their job well within a well-thought-out space. They are discreet in size but precise in result. The design does not attempt to imitate anything external or follow fleeting trends, but instead offers a clean aesthetic that does not go out of style easily.

If you are renovating a room or looking to complete an installation with multiple light points, the models in the STAN series can be combined in multiples without the result feeling forced. They are ceiling lights that work alone or in groups, depending on the needs of each space.
