Overview

LOGAR is an outdoor bollard designed to illuminate walkways in gardens, paths and entrances. With a height of 90 cm, it clearly marks the route and provides warm, uniform light that makes moving around outdoors more comfortable after dark. Its modern lantern shape with clean lines fits well in both private gardens and residential entrances.

The lamp operates with integrated LED technology, which means there is no need to worry about changing bulbs. The light it emits has a colour temperature of 3000K, a warm tone that is not harsh and blends naturally into the surroundings. It is a valid option for those looking for functional outdoor lighting without sacrificing a refined appearance.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in lighting. Their products combine solid construction with a timeless design, built to last and to perform under real conditions of use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an outdoor power outlet or underground conduit to the point where the bollard will be placed is required. As it is an outdoor floor lamp, the wiring must be protected and the connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before placing it, it is advisable to check that the ground is level so that the luminaire sits straight and stable.

To clean the lamp, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. It is not recommended to use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the aluminium finish or the PMMA diffuser. It is advisable to periodically check that the base is securely fixed to the ground and that there is no accumulation of dirt on the diffuser that could reduce the quality of the emitted light.

Design and use

The LOGAR bollard by FARO has a discreet yet effective presence. Its dark grey aluminium body blends effortlessly into gardens, cobbled paths, gravel driveways or terrace edges. It does not draw excessive attention during the day, but when switched on, it clearly defines the space.

The opal PMMA diffuser distributes light softly, without creating bright spots or harsh shadows. This makes the lamp comfortable to look at and ensures even illumination along the path. When several bollards are placed in a row along a garden path, the effect is clean and orderly, with a visual continuity that guides without glaring.

The height of 90 cm is a well-considered middle ground. It is sufficient to illuminate the ground on both sides without occupying too much visual space. Unlike a taller post light, this bollard does not project light upwards or interfere with nearby vegetation or structures. It integrates well alongside hedges, kerbs or paved paths.

The aluminium body holds up well to outdoor conditions. It is a material that does not rust, withstands temperature changes and maintains a clean appearance with little maintenance. The dark grey finish does not show dust or surface dirt conspicuously, which is a practical advantage in a garden environment.

The SMD LED light source is included and does not need to be replaced under normal conditions of use. With 23W of power and a colour temperature of 3000K, the luminaire provides warm light that does not distort the colours of the surroundings and is pleasant in outdoor spaces. This type of lighting is especially useful in walkway areas where good visibility of the ground is needed without the light feeling cold or excessively intense.

The LOGAR bollard can be combined with other outdoor luminaires of the same finish or from the same range to create a cohesive ensemble. It works well at entrances to detached houses, pool edges, interior paths on private plots or garage driveways. It can also be used in outdoor commercial spaces such as rural hotels, garden restaurants or any installation that requires path lighting with a tidy and professional result.

The square cross-section design — 80 x 80 mm — gives it a contained geometric silhouette that fits both natural garden settings and more modern landscaped gardens. It is not a lamp that imposes a specific style, but rather adapts to what already exists.

Questions and answers

Does the LOGAR bollard include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the integrated LED light source. No additional components need to be purchased for it to function.

Does the aluminium body require any special treatment to withstand rain or prolonged sun exposure?

Aluminium is a material that does not require additional treatments for outdoor use. Periodic cleaning with a damp cloth is sufficient to keep the finish in good condition.

What type of installation does this bollard require given that it is floor-mounted?

As it is an outdoor floor luminaire, it requires connection to the electrical mains via protected wiring. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by an electrician, as the wiring must be routed through underground conduit to the installation point.
