Design and use

The beacon stands 600 mm tall, a height that makes it visible without being dominant. It is sufficient to mark a garden path, define the edge of a terrace, or guide access to the home entrance without the lamp competing visually with its surroundings. At that height, the light falls naturally onto the ground and immediate surroundings, creating a comfortable visibility zone without glare.

The injected aluminium body is one of the elements that most determines the durability of an outdoor lamp. Aluminium does not oxidise like other metals, maintains its shape under temperature changes, and does not deform over the years. The dark grey finish gives it a sober appearance that fits well both in gardens with vegetation and in more ordered or geometric spaces, such as a patio or a cobblestone access path.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser ensures the light is neither concentrated nor aggressive. Instead of projecting a focused beam, it distributes light evenly around the beacon. The bulb is not included. The lamp accepts an E27 socket with a maximum power of 15 W, so you will need to purchase a compatible LED bulb separately before installing it.

Does the opal polycarbonate diffuser hold up well to prolonged exposure to sun and rain?

Polycarbonate is a common material in outdoor luminaires precisely because of its resistance to impact and changing weather conditions. The opal finish is not a surface coating but an inherent characteristic of the material, so it does not peel or lose its properties with continued use.
